Mojo No. 4, Urban BBQ Whiskey Bar

This is a fabulous BBQ restaurant. Service was fast and the food was incredibly delicious. So hard to find places like this. Chicken was not dry and the side dishes were made to perfection. Been to this place twice and still blown away by there food. Second time we got our food to go for a picnic and was surprised that the portions and side dishes were not short changed like so many other places do. Highly recommended the chicken, beef brisket and sausage links. The coleslaw and green beans are outstanding as well. DEFINITELY will be returning to this restaurant. Our new favorite spot.

We have been dining at Mojo4’s for more than 13 years. We have always loved the food, especially your onion rings and your delicious ranch dressing. The last time we were there (a few years ago) we lefted because the place wreaked of smoke (poor ventilation). This past Sunday, we decided to give it another try. It wasn’t as smoky. It was more than five minutes before our server finally acknowledged us. She and a couple other servers walked past us, but never acknowledged us with eye contact or a verbal, saying “I’ll be right with you!” Me and my wife had Reuben’s, it took a long time to get our meals (the restaurant want busy). The brisket was dry and the bread did not seem fresh. The onion rings weren’t as good as we remembered. The entire experience was so disappointing. We won’t be back! :(

I usually love this place and will go out of my way to get “to go” from here. Recently ordered a salad and paid extra for burnt ends. No burnt ends at all on the salad and the meat that was on there was mostly just fat. The onion rings, however, were top notch as always.

The sides were the most plentiful and flavorful portions of the entire meal. Four thin strips of beef brisket...very unimpressive, as the pictures show. $26.00 dinner...I've seen far better values in town. Mac n cheese was great!

Amazing Food....Best Onion Rings I have had so far . I will post a picture of my Papa John . Mo Jo 4 in Avondale Jacksonville Florida 🌞. Burnt Ends are Great. And their sweet potato casserole 🥘 is so yummy. Their Greens with their table top sause is another option to get. Mac and cheese as well. Circle the block a couple of times and wait patiently for a place to park.... It is worth the wait. 😀

I ordered the three meat combo I only got four pieces of brisket cuz I ordered all three of the meats to be brisket they told me this would be 12 oz as you can see it doesn't really look like that and one of the pieces was dry they also informed me that had I ordered the brisket meal and upsized it that I would have got 16 oz of meat for the price of $30 I feel like this is a rip-off but I will say the Grits were delicious for these types of prices you should be getting way more for your money I feel

Visited:: 31Mar25. I don't know if I caught them on a slow day or what it was. My roommate has gone on and on about this place, how it's good BBQ. Well we finally went. I'm a fair reviewer if you see my other reviews, I tell the good and the bad. Personal honest opinion. We entered and was hardly greeted, he just said how many sit wherever. There was a son and dad, a couple and the bar and us. The server then came up didn't say her name, didn't say I'll be the one taking care of you etc. no enthusiasm no smile. Actually no one was. She brought us our drinks took our order. I was informed that the 2 meat platter would be enough to eat now and have some for work tomorrow. That was not the case. My roommate ordered a beer didn't ask if she wanted another until it was gone and we were done eating. My water was empty by the time she got me a new one. She never came and asked how everything was can I get you anything etc. I asked for hot sauce for my collard greens which is fine but should have been addressed maybe when the food came out. She was too busy talking to other co workers instead of serving us. The food was alright, I've gotten bigger portions at Bono's, Sonny's or missions. Things were bland honestly. She never asked if we wanted an appetizer or dessert at the end, which is usually asked for sales purposes. The whole atmosphere was down, everyone acted like they didn't want to be there. I watched a family get a to go order and they were hardly greeted and barely talked to. I believe it shouldn't matter if I'm there and it's busy or not the service and people just need to look and be enthusiastic and not look down and sad. Unsure of giving it another chance.

This place is great! Not necessarily fine dining but our waiter was thoughtful and attentive. The food was wonderful! We had the bang bang shrimp, burnt ends, pulled pork and brisket and I would order all again! Their bbq sauces are great and the cocktail I ordered was delish! There was no wait and everything came quickly. No complaints, we will be back!

This was our first time visiting the establishment. The server was very pleasant and attentive. We ordered the catfish with collard greens & black eye peas/sweet potatoes & cornbread. The catfish needed more seasoning, the cornbread was dry but the greens & black eye peas was delicious. The sweet potatoes were okay and the sweet tea/lemonade needed more sugar in our opinion. Overall, the experience was good. The atmosphere was quiet & calm.

I do not leave reviews. I was at this restaurant tonight to see my son play music. We were not being served for 45 minutes. I went to the bar, ordered a second beer, and asked for a menu. I was refused service. Confused, I asked to speak to the manager. Nice guy, however, he falsely accused me of being foul with a waitress. The only waitress I interacted with got a 30% tip when I bought my first beer. I never saw a waitress. That was the issue. Talked to manager. He did not listen to understand, he simply reacted to what he thought he knew. Lame! Loved this place. Will never cast a shadow on their door again. Too bad. They suck.
