Food is so delicious. Mussels are usually my go too. Beer list is always great and always rotating. Always have my favorite Russian River brews. Completely chill place to enjoy with no distracting televisions.

Loved the beer selection and staff. Mussels were awesome and a large portion for the price (and to come with fries). Will definitely be back for more.

Best beer bottle selection in America! Feels like classic Belgium style old-school saison brewery. Has A LOT of cantillion. Prices are competitive to store bought at a stylish homey spot. Owners all work here and crew is actually a group of beer enthusiasts. Food is great. Fries fried in duck fat only $6. 5 different styles of mussels to choose from and 5 different burgers. But indulge and get the cheese plate could literally be a whole meal right there! Lots of well behaved kiddos sitting with families so seems like a spot anyone can enjoy. THANKS, will be back to finish trying bottle list and food menu.

Favorite little beer bar in all of town! Impressive selection of famous American beers, e.g., Pliny, plus a wide selection of beers from around the world - Belgian, Japanese, etc. Delicious, hearty food. Knowledgeable, beer-geek staff. And a cozy, intimate space. Great for dates, or for the aficionados to get a drink.

Dined here after seeing Swan Lake- went around 3pm so I missed the lunch and dinner rush luckily. Place is very tiny but still gets PACKED. Staff and patrons are all very polite so even though it is jammed with people it's still manageable. My server was John and he looked to be the only waiter in the back bar area. For such an insanely hectic environment John was phenomenal with service. I'm not really a big beer drinker but the Chimay and Scaldis I got were both some of the best beers I ever had. The Chimay was light and floral and the Scaldis was rich but pleasently sweet/fruity. THE MUSSELS ARE AMAZING. They even come with (excellent) fries so getting these are a no brainer. Very tender and expertly seasoned. Portion is well worth it ! I was drinking the juice at the bottom after finishing the mussels. The lamb meatballs were underwhelming although the presentation was beautiful. The duck salad sandwich is good, nothing too special. Will definitely be coming back - can't wait to try the wings.

We were shocked on how packed it was at 1:30pm on a Wednesday. Luckily, we were able to snag a two-top within 10 minutes or so. We had a Pliny while waiting - not a bad way to kill time. Every single beer we had on draft was stellar, including their house Flemish Red. There's a reason why Monk's Cafe is one of the best craft beer bars in the United States. A MUST VISIT!

Family had lunch here. Monk's was highly recommended and didn't disappoint! The food was fantastic, awesome beer options, our waitress was super cool and the place had a good vibe. Loved it!

I went to Monk's for the first time this Saturday. Definitely one of my better bar experiences. They were having an event and the bar was very crowded, but everybody was very respectful of each other's space. Which you never see at a crowded bar. All their beer selections are amazing. Obviously very well thought out. These are beer aficionados. They could have probably gotten away with a fried chicken sandwich and a hamburger. But their menu is really on point. I was able to get a duck sandwich. And a very well done one at that. And the music was the exact right level. You could hear it and it sets the mood, but it's well under speaking volume. If I find myself in Philly again, I'll definitely be stopping by Monk's.

This place is warm and cozy. It is always packed eveytime we come here. The food is amazing. The mussels are the best around. They come with bread and frites. Omg the frites were fresh and soo good. We also get the cheese board. We have never had a bad meal here. The selection of beers are nice. There is a full bar. It is such a good vibe.

I just want to say: WOW. This is a small place but if you come in early, you might snag the biggest table they have for 7 people! Our server was very knowledgeable in explaining the food choices. Based on the reviews here, I went ahead and ordered the classic Mussels. What I didn't know that it could be cooked another way: Thai coconut curry and another- I completely forgot at that point because I was so mesmerized by the amount of variety of Beers they had. All in all, I would recommend to order their appetizers: Chicken Liver(which to this day, I am still dreaming about eating it again), Smoked Trout Dip, and Mushroom cake! Definitely will come back again and try the other beers!
