Ocean Prime

Great service, good sides, disappointing entrees. The highlight of dining at Ocean Prime was the great staff providing exceptional service. The house Prime Manhattan was tasty, but weirdly made: it was shaken. Who shakes a Manhattan? Was Ian Fleming involved? Then we get to the food, which was a mixed bag. The sushi rolls were tasty, but the rice was smooshy. The calamari was overcooked. The seafood tower was okay. The French onion soup was too salty. The rib eye desperately needed salt. The lobster tail was overcooked. These are really basic errors that you shouldn't see at this level and price point. The Prime salad and sides were really good though. So that's my recommendation: if you find yourself dining at Ocean Prime, skip the overpriced, disappointing entrees and stick to the salad and sides.

My favorite red in the whole city! Casey was our server and she was absolutely amazing! The east coast oysters are phenomenally fresh! The wagyu is mouth watering and an amazing price! 10000/10 can’t wait to be back

I love this restaurant! My absolute recommendation is for you to try their 10 layer carrot cake - it is absolutely decadent and my absolute favorite! The abidance is always on point and service is exceptional. I also love their or black orchid cocktail. This is a great restaurant for any special occasion.

We are not huge Philly people, but we randomly decided to go to the city for our Anniversary and I couldn’t be happier we did! We had hands down the BEST meal we have ever had and my boyfriend is a executive chef at a local fine dining restaurant! We called to move our reservation up and it was Done with no problem, our table was covered in rose petals for our Anniversary which was such a sweet touch. Our server Casey was knowledgeable of EVERYTHING on the menu and the specials… she explained everything down to every sauce and method of cooking! We shared a Surf and Turf appetizer and the best wedge and Caesar salad EVER! Our entrees where even better, even tho we could barley walk by the end of our dinner we were offered a desert on the house for our anniversary and indulged in the amazing crème brûlée!! We thank you so much for such an amazing experience we will 10000% be back! 10/10 recommend to anyone and everyone.

I visited Ocean Prime in Philadelphia on Valentine’s Day 2026 with my mom, and we had such a great experience thanks to Jeremy. He was amazing as our bartender—attentive, intentional, and fully present despite the busy holiday crowd. He managed everything smoothly and professionally, keeping the energy positive while handling the rush with ease. His performance was truly impressive, almost exceptional. Jeremy carried himself with professionalism and ethical manners, making us feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout the evening. We’re so grateful for the experience he provided.

The food was exceptional!!! The ambiance was perfect for a date night with my girlfriend. The drinks were made with passion & you might not be able to taste the alcohol but trust me, its in there. I will say as “pricey” as it is, the price fits for the level of care, service, cleanliness, and over fine dining experience. I got the lobster linguine and my girlfriend got the 8oz steak with a loaded baked potato. Everything tasted DELICIOUS! I have not one singular complaint which is rare. I will definitely be back. Oh - it says on the site that you have to “dress” the part but we saw people there in basketball jerseys & shorts so not really sure what the dress code is. Or maybe thats only acceptable if you’re at the bar? Anyway, made no difference to me.

There aren't enough words to describe how wonderful Our experience was at Ocean Prime. The Service was Top Notch, each part of the meal was Impecable, and the atmosphere was warm & inviting. This place while pricey was worth Every Penny!! Bryce, our server went out of his way to make sure Our Anniversary was one to remember, and even Ryan the manager Stopped by to make sure we were having a Great Time!!! This place was absolutely amazing. My husband and I made reservations for our anniversary and from the moment we walked in we were treated like royalty. Service from our server Liz and her assistants was exceptional, food was exquisite! Dynamite Rolls we recommended by Liz and they were exactly that, DYNAMITE! Ambiance was romantic, rose petals on the table, food delivery was amazing! Drinks and soup poured at the table, different water selections including sparkling! We just had an absolutely wonderful time and can't wait to go back again! We will be requesting Liz for our next reservations!

Like it. The calamari was phenomenal. The lobster bisque left something to be desired...maybe too thick?! The sea bass was good. At the end our waiter had his undivided attention on our neighbor's table and we had to flag him down for dessert after waiting a good amount of time. The valet guys had better customer service and connected with us much better.

Consistently amazing! I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on this menu. Everything is top quality from the service, to the presentation to the portions and the quality of the food. I remember the first time we went came to Ocean Prime a little under a year ago and have been wanting to get back ever since and try some other selections. Started with the lobster bisque which had several decent size pieces of lobster. A very good bisque that tastes like fall with its subtle hints of various herbs and spices . We also split the Ocean Roll, which was devious and fresh. Even my son who doesn’t enjoy fish said it was good. Mains were three steaks, which were tender and cooked to perfection, and the flavorful teriyaki salmon. For dessert we shared the ten layer carrot cake and the chocolate peanut butter pie. I can’t say more then if you like chocolate and peanut butter this is a must! The carrot cake was also top notch and I typically don’t order cake. Since it was restaurant week we’re were able to get an app, a main and dessert for $60 for tow of the selections, which was a tremendous deal. I was disappointed to find that they are removing the “Take Two” from the cocktail menu. I “settled” for the pineapple picante which was a more then adequate replacement. Can’t wait to go back!
