I took in all season clothing and they took in probably 2 things for $7. I know I had better thing in my basket.. i took a look around and nothing really caught my eye idk maybe the environment in there is not the best. I work at an Uptown Cheapskate and see why others prefer my job for both selling and buying.
"Plato's Closet is a fantastic shopping destination! Their selection of gently used clothing is top-notch, offering trendy styles at unbeatable prices. The store is well-organized, making it easy to find hidden gems. Plus, the staff is always friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend for anyone looking to update their wardrobe without breaking the bank!"
We get all my daughter's clothes here. The staff is really nice and the store is very easy to navigate. The isles are sorted by type and sizecand the accessories are at the front and the shoes are on top of the racks sorted by size. The dressing rooms are also very spacious, so thats nice.
Brought a box of men’s shorts, pants and tees in to sell and they wouldn’t accept any of them…said they were stained and out of date. I acknowledged that a couple of tees had small stains as one pair of pants. When I asked the boss lady to skip the stained ones and buy the other ones she said they were out of date and fashion which was an out right lie because while waiting for the offer I found same and similar items that looked worse than mine. I take good care of my clothes and only try and sell the best ones. Name brands were Wrangler, Costa,Dickies and Levi’s.
This store is decent if you want to sell clothes and get some extra cash. The first time I went in here to sell a basket of my items, they took most of them and offered me about $73, which was surprising and a good amount for how much I took in. So, a week later, I decided to clean out my closet and sell most of my stuff that I didn't wear or like (Handbags, clothes, tons of shoes that are still in season and new/like new condition) since I had a good experience the first time, and to my surprise, offered me over $225. Very surprised! However, I don't know if it was just a bad day for the employees and or manager, but I took in a mint condition Tory Burch purse that I didn't use but all one time, nothing wrong with it, very expensive, and they only offered me $50 for it? What? I don't even know if they even knew how much this purse was worth, but I can sell this online for way more money than that (I am going to do that instead), so I declined. Also, the ladies who were buying that day seemed in a bad mood, and just overall tense atmosphere in the store. The cashier that I have seen multiple times when buying is always nice and friendly, and never had a problem with them in the past, but I guess today was not one of them.
Brought in 2 bags one clothes other shoes which I’ve only worn twice. They didn’t take anything. They have bad customer service and they need to be fired. I don’t trust those “mean girls”
I think I'm being nice giving them a two. I went in and they all over the place. Granted, it's a hectic environment so that I can understand. Check in was fine, but when I came back...THE ANNOYANCE BEGAN. They only took 3 things out of 40 items. Granted I donated all of my plus size clothing (on a journey). Anyway, I'm talking tons of brand new clothing. Which not have been an issue except for, this is the reason they don't have plus size customers. There was a group of workers in the corner picking out clothes they liked for themselves. Yes, workers. Additionally, they put someone else's clothes in my bin in addition to my 3 items. If I was dishonest, I could have just left with the additional money. Then, they let someone else walk off with someone else's stuff. Poor guy was just stuck standing there. Honestly, just go to Goodwill...unless you're desperate!
DO NOT SELL or even buy stuff from this store. I went to sell some old clothes that are barely worn and was told they didnt accept because of “wear and tear, stain, and damage”. They didnt take a single piece in a basket of clothes with more than 50+ items. Mind you they told me the wait is about 40 minutes, I left for 5 minutes and it texted me saying they’re done. Rather go to Uptown Cheapskate for better clothes and PRICES. Also their workers are not nice, the attitude is insane. This store is a waste of space honestly.
Pretty decent store with lots of clothes, but the employees were rude. The fitting rooms are a bit small, but overall this was a pretty okay place to shop.
Please listen to reviews!!! They are so lazy and they don’t do shit but run they mouths!! I brought a bag in with damn near 2 brand new pair of Jordan’s and a Pair Ugg boots they never even looked at the bag!! I took the same two bags to the one in Plano and got 200 dollars!! It’s sad…
