Publix Super Market at Arlington River

I shop at Publix daily. But not this location. This was my first time because I in the area for an event. Shockingly I didn't have a great experience. The cashier Dex was rude as well her the young man that was bagging. My card was locked and she made comments as if I didn't have the money. I was on call so I didn't realize I didn't unlock. My husband and 10yr walked to stand by the door. She demanded my husband bring the basket back. He asked her was she talking to him and why. She stated because we can't pay for it. And the young mans said well it's not going through. As I'm looking at my phone I asked was it due to my pin. Just having a conversation. She then told my husband she can't get in trouble for letting him leave away from the register. That's when I said maam "I'm standing here unlocking my card. Why would you insinuate we would steal when I'm standing here swiping. This isn't the first time I've made the mistake. However it's the first time at Publix someone insinuated we are thieves. The staff know my family personally from me frequently shopping the University location. So they always remind me to unlock it. It would've been nice to for some Pleasantries to be exchanged instead not even creating us when we walked up. I was in works out clothes. So I guess she assumed we didn't have it. I make too much money and spend too much in Publix to be treated this way. I'll never shop at this Publix again.

I don’t often take the time to write reviews, but I absolutely had to share the incredible experience we had at Publix, thanks to Blanchard, the store manager. From the moment we walked in, it was clear this store was being led by someone who truly understands customer service and team excellence. Blanchard was not only professional and courteous—he was impressively fast, attentive, and seemed to know exactly what we needed before we even had to ask. He approached us with a warm smile and genuine interest in helping, and in no time, he resolved our request with efficiency and care that far exceeded our expectations. What truly stood out was the calm and confident way he handled everything. You could tell he runs a tight ship and takes pride in the quality of service his store provides. The whole atmosphere of the store felt organized and welcoming, which is a direct reflection of strong leadership. Service like this is rare nowadays—Blanchard made our day easier and our experience more enjoyable, all with kindness and professionalism. We left feeling valued and appreciated as customers. That level of care does not go unnoticed. Thank you, Blanchard, for going above and beyond. Publix is lucky to have you, and so are its customers. We’ll absolutely be coming back!

Went to the deli and ordered a pound of meat. Notice flies all around and when they went to cut my meat he goes to the nastiest slicer. It was full of blood from other meats. I was getting chick so I asked if would clean the slicer first. Scoffed at me and did a half crap clean. I was committed but now I have a pound of meat I most certainly will not eat. No reason for him to be rude and honesty I see alot of guys on there phones instead of stocking items. They just stay in the middle of the floor and look at you as we are in the way. This store sure has gone way down in customer service!! Not a pleasure to shop here!

I always have a great experience at this Publix when visiting our friends! Our kids LOVE the car buggies! and this location has plenty of them, way more than any other store we’ve been to. It makes shopping with little ones so much easier (and more fun!). The store is clean, the shelves are well-stocked, and the staff is always kind. It’s become a favorite stop whenever we’re in the area!

I had such a wonderful experience at this Publix location thanks to Assistant Manager Matt. My daughter’s favorite snack is the Snyder’s Itty Bitty pretzels, and I had searched all over Jacksonville trying to find them with no luck. I happened to mention it to Matt, and he kindly took down my information and assured me he would look into it. Not only did he follow through, but shortly after, I was able to find the pretzels in store and purchase a couple bags. Then to top it all off, Matt personally called me to let me know they were back in stock again. That level of customer care truly means so much. It’s a perfect example of why shopping at Publix really is a pleasure. Matt went above and beyond, and because of his kindness and follow-through, my daughter is happy and so am I. We truly appreciate employees like him!

I go here for my everyday shopping. And shopping at the Publix is generally a pleasurable experience. But today after a long day my main goal was getting a Publix chicken tender sub. After being the first person to arrive in line I was told firmly but nicely by the gentleman working the counter to form the line going out and not to the side. Which I understand, but was just kind of weird considering it was 8:30 in the evening and I was the only person in line. But when my it was finally my tern to order, no niceties were exchanged no acknowledgment was given. The gentleman simpy started preparing two online orders. Just Left a sour taste. Ended up walking out with a microwave dinner after a long day. I would have been more inclined to wait if I was acknowledged. I'm overall just disappointed in this interaction. Disappointed and hungry. 🥲

As someone who travels frequently for work and lives out of hotels, Publix has been a lifesaver. I stop in nearly every day, and it never disappoints. The salad bar is my go-to for a fresh, customizable lunch, and the hot deli options make for a convenient and satisfying dinner. On top of that, their frequent BOGO deals are incredibly useful—not just random items, but things I actually use. The store is always clean, well-stocked, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Publix truly makes being on the road a lot more manageable.
