This spice and tea shop is a wonderful spot in the city. Everything comes in 1-lb bags, so if you use anything in large quantities, this is your place to stock up at an affordable price. The staff are all very sweet and helpful if you have any questions. It's a small storefront that limits the number of customers inside to five at time, but I have never seen it occupied by more than four customers. Its business hours are limited to 10a-4p on weekdays only, so plan your visit accordingly.
Great prices. Even post pandemic its still affordable and I can stock all the herbs I use for cooking, potpourri, hair care, etc. You will not find better prices or value anywhere else on herbs.
Great stuff! Went there to get some tea, and I ended up getting herbs and spices as well. Incredible price in comparison to most stores and online. The two gentlemen were very helpful in answering some of the questions I had. Will come again for sure. Make sure to ring the bell if you think the store is closed. I almost walked away, and I'm glad I didn't.

I have been ordering spices from here for a few years and the quality of everything I have ever ordered is top notch! I share with family and friends and they rave about the bold flavor too! Their products are far better than anything u can get a the grocery store and their prices are good too! If I could change anything it would be cost of shipping but still worth it. So if you can your vegis or make pickles use San Francisco Herb you will be SO GLAD you did!!!
I love this shop. Their products are always top quality, customer service is great and shipping is always timely. I don't buy spices anyplace else. My only suggestion is that I wish they carried nutritional yeast.
As a chef friend described this wonderful shop, "It's like Disneyland." So many standard items and so very many unusual discoveries. I can not speak highly enough of San Francisco Herb Co. The people who work there are so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The variety is outstanding and the prices are fantastic. I highly recommend it to everyone!

An absolute treasure: such high quality teas and spices, they make the store smell lovely, and the shopkeeper is so friendly it just ties together the whole experience. They do ship, too, but the nice interaction and lovely smells make it worth the trip Be aware that they're closed on Sunday, but are open until 5pm on Saturdays
