I first want to start out by saying this spot used to be one of me and my daughter’s favorite seafood spots here in JAX but they have went down hill. I don’t know if it’s the cooks in the back that don’t care about the fact that you are cooking for the public and people who are paying HIGH prices for this food only for it to be sub par. Tonight I ordered wings with two sides and a kids meal for my daughter. The food was not fresh at all and it’s disappointing because Seafood Island Grill’s prices are ridiculous now. Also I got a scoop of red beans and rice as a side smh. Please think twice before ordering with them….its not the same
Hands down great family spot. I like how you order at the front...then get your number...then find your own seat...then quickly your food comes...then its sooo good and hot and fresh....then the friendly waiters check on ya at good speed. Then your belly is full...so leave a good tip and go on your way. A nap will follow...trust me! Great service! Quick food. 4 eating under 75 bucks...that's good eating yall!
As I entered the establishment, I was greeted by a young lady and she informed me about the ordering process (order at the counter, pick a seat, and the food will be brought to me). I ordered the Surf-n-Turf Burger which was seasoned and cooked well. It was a large burger & I enjoyed every bit of it!
The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, we were disappointed in the quality of the food served. The seafood was bland and somewhat overcooked. I had grilled salmon and scallops, and neither were flavorful at all. The fried pickles and fried mushrooms we shared were the best part of the meal. In addition, the floor was sticky and in need of cleaning.
The food wasn't the best we have had but it wasn't the worse either. When we visit again we will give them another try and try a different dish. The salmon only had flavor because of the pineapple teriyaki sauce. The wings only had flavor because of the sauce as well.
First time visiting. Clean place, good atmosphere. The food was fresh, tasty. However the customer service wasn’t up to my standards. I was seated and my food arrived shortly after however my waiter only came by once to check in on me and that was after I had finished all of my food.
👍🏾I prefer a wait staff. At this restaurant you have order at the counter and the food is brought out. The service was nice. Very courteous. The food is good and the portions were average. The atmosphere is lax. Overall enjoyable and I’ll go back to try different items on the menu. You can add shots of flavor to your drinks which I really like. Very neat and clean. A nice bar & grille that serves seafood with several options. I wanted grouper, but not fried. The Seafood Island Bar & Grille had 3 options, fried, grilled, or blackened. I was surprised, but none the less happy. I ordered the grilled grouper lunch, which comes with 2 sides. I got the green beans and paid an extra couple of dollars, and got a side salad as my second side. The food was cooked nicely. The fish had a flavorable taste, and it flaked easily. The green beans were southern style, but not too buttery, and they blended well with the grouper. The side salad had mixed greens that were fresh and crunchy. It came with red onions, tomatos, and croutons. There are several dressings to choose from. However, I ordered the balsamic. Everything was delicious. You order at the register located in the center. Then, a server will bring you your food when it's ready. It didn't take long to get my food. The staff was nice and seemed to be caring about your desires. The place has an island/pirate vibe. It was clean, organized, and decorated for Christmas! There are many options of seafood, so if you are interested, then stop by here and give it a very. I think you just might like it! I did!!!
The food was amazing. Customer service was wonderful. Friendly quick service. Food freshly cooked. Restaurant was very clean and inviting. You have indoor and outdoor seating options. Worth stopping by.
My hubby and I were trying to find a place to eat late at night and we were looking for gator. It was a no brainer when we found seafood island bar&grille on google. Not only did they have delicious fresh fried gator tail with an amazing dipper sauce,we also got blackened mahi fettuccine which was a good portioning size. My hubby got the seafood trio. And we had an amazing time. We took to go plates because we filled up pretty fast. The atmosphere was very chill and comfortable,for a Friday night. I could eat there regularly and we will certainly return. The staff and service were really excellent.
