The food was pretty good. I would have recommended the stuffed founder if it didn't have melted cheese on top - odd combo. It was tasty. I was disappointed that we only saw the server when we received our food. A check on drinks would have been nice. Please get the lock on the women's restroom fixed and keep the men's smelling better. Extra lighting in the restrooms would be appreciated. I loved the ambiance!

Dining at Seafood Island was a delicious, enjoyable experience! The food was well cooked, wonderfully seasoned and plentiful. We ordered the Captain's Platter, grilled, and loved everything on it! There were large portions of a variety of seafood. As busy as the kitchen was with orders, our seafood was well prepared - the flounder was flaky and moist, the shrimp and scallops cooked just right. Hubby and I ordered white russians from the bar and received nicely mixed drinks with a generous amount of spirits. A shout out to Melissa, the general manager, and her staff for the great service! Even though ordering is at the counter, the tableside service was excellent! We had attentive, friendly service from both Melissa and her staff. The place was bustling and Melissa was everywhere at once - overseeing the staff, the drink and food orders, and serving and busing as needed. A neighborhood gem with great food, great service and a delightful, friendly vibe to it. We'll be back!

It is a walk ip and order and get your own drink type of place. Which is cool. The wait staff was great. A fun group of people. The food was very good. Only tried a couple of things, but everything I ate was excellent. Cool place to hang out. Not super expensive.

This was your average Seafood restaurant. The service was good and looks good, but the food portions are too small. The servers were very nice and well trained. The restaurant had a good atmosphere. The food however, was a different story. The shrimp was small and obviously not fresh. 14 tiny pieces was not fulfilling. The wings were very small and lacked flavor. I wanted to rate it higher, but it is at or below hooters level for food quality. Personally, it is not ranked higher than hooters.

The staff was very friendly and helpful when it came to ordering. The location offered indoor/outdoor seating. Food was quick and tasty. The Gumbo wasn’t that good however. Overall the dining experience was great. If you are in town check out this location.

Food is just ok in our opinion. On the red beans and rice, the beans tasted like they were straight from a can. Gumbo is not homemade and very bland - need Cajun seasoning. Fried flounder and coconut shrimp were ok. Some hush puppies hard and dried out, some hot and fresh. The oyster stew was not creamy or hearty but very thin, no celery, no shallots, nothing but a few oysters and milk. The key lime pie was nice. I’d go back just for that. The prices aren’t that bad, but the food is not that good.

I ordered the three-piece meal grouper scallops And oysters the scallops on my plate and my wife's were overcooked so was the grouper we both had them blackened. The scallops are not real scallops they are shark plugs. If you know Seafood then you will know scallops are not all the same size and same thickness. As far as the grouper it was overcooked they did re-cook our meal and it was better but it was not great and I'm not even sure if it was real grouper. We also had gator bites which were good, the red beans and rice was about the only thing that tasted good out of the whole meal. The fried tomatoes were decent it needed more flavor. They had a special on shrimp 30-piece shrimp for 12.99 with two sides the shrimp were overcooked and it seems like those were frozen pre battered shrimp. If you are looking for a good seafood restaurant I do not recommend this place but if you have mediocre taste buds then you're going to enjoy it. My wife spent around $26 for her meal I spent around $68.00 from mine. Don't let the pictures fool you.

We love Seafood Island! We’ve been twice so far and will definitely be back many more times. We’re new to the area (living in St. Nicholas) and have started venturing into San Marco more, and this spot has quickly become a favorite. The restaurant is very clean inside, the service has been consistently great, and the food is delicious. What we really appreciate is that they offer so many options beyond just fried seafood, so there’s something for everyone. Highly recommend! First time we both got platters. I got a pick two with salmon and garlic Parmesan wings with sweet potatoes fries and fried green tomatoes. All gr8! My husband got the similar item with Thai chili wings and salmon Second time my husband ordered the snow crab leg dinner I got a pick three with gator tail, fried shrimp, and garlic Parmesan wings
