I’ve had an excellent experience living here and would absolutely give this apartment community five stars. From day one, the staff has been professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful. The leasing and maintenance teams respond quickly and make you feel valued as a resident, which is rare and greatly appreciated. The property is clean, well-maintained, and consistently improving. Common areas are kept in great shape, and any service requests I’ve submitted have been handled promptly and correctly the first time. It’s clear that management takes pride in the community. I also really enjoy the overall atmosphere — If you’re looking for a place that feels like home with a team that truly cares, this is it. I’m very happy with my decision to live here and would confidently recommend it to others.
The Residences at Barnett is a horrible place to live - NO amenities and the rent is too high. Management just turns its head to illegal activity, weed and loud noise as long as they get the rent money. Don't let the pictures online fool you. This is the Ghetto in downtown Jacksonville, Florida
Checked out a couple of apartments and got a tour of the old vault in the basement. Really clean spaces with a surprisingly interesting building history. Debbie was very nice.
I would not recommend living at The Residences at Barnett under Becovic Management Group. My experience has been extremely disappointing. There appears to be a lack of care and accountability when it comes to both residents and employees. Concerns are not handled with urgency, communication is inconsistent, and follow-through is lacking with upper management. When you’re paying to live somewhere, you expect professionalism, responsiveness, and respect — unfortunately, that has not been my experience with this company. Additionally, withholding a resident’s deposit and wrongfully reporting them to collections under false pretenses is highly unprofessional and concerning. I truly hope management reevaluates how they treat their residents and staff, as it significantly impacts the quality of living and trust within the community.

I have been a resident here for a while. Kevin has been amazing and so professional. He not only has been caring but he makes living here at the residence at Barnette a place I want to tell my friends and family about. Do not apply. The staff is friendly and nice, but they are using antiquated systems. I make 30X the income required to pay the rent of this building. Instead of finding a way to manually over-ride the system they instead are using technology and cannot find a way to approve me. I called corporate, and attempted to get corporate involved. Corporate also could not do anything. Its a giant time suck and waste of time. Nice people, but their processes are severely broken, and its not worth applying because they cannot Human over ride if they do not accept your bank. What ends up happening is you spend $300 to just find out that they basically want you to move banks just to qualify regardless of how much money you make. Its insane.
I went for a tour and we were guided by the property manager Debbie and she did really well with showing the amenities as well as giving us the historical facts of the place and the apartment was really stunning
EVERY apartment building needs a James. He is the epitome of customer service. everything from the time i first looked at the apartments to me moving in my unit, he was patient, professional & welcoming. James is one of the best things about the Barnett Building.
The windows don’t open at all. Rent is more than advertised after you sign the lease & see all the fees that get added in. Also you’ll have to pay for your parking at a local parking garage because street parking is scarce. Recent management change. This review is not an attempt to deter nor promote, simply to inform.
