BEWARE! This company is dishonest. They claimed to be family owned and employ veterans and it’s all a scam. They posted my vehicle just as any broker would do. They gave me a low price and a date and never showed up. I contacted them 4 days after the pick up date twice and the only response was “we’re working on it “. I called another shipping company and told them I was working with another that said they were family owned and never showed up and he said “Thrifty?” I was sad to learn they have a terrible reputation but glad I cancelled with them before they raised the price and things got worse. Since I wrote this review I received a reply stating they did not know who I was and that they had no record of me. I provided the information and the person I had been working on who was Robbie A. Not surprisingly, I received no further responses. This company should heave some kind of consequences for outright lying about having there own trucks, being family owned and operated, and mot of all associating themselves with being military supporters. I made one phone call to a reputable shipper and paid a little more than what Thrifty had quoted me and had my car shipped the next day. I learned Thrifty had low-balled me and my information was still posted for all shippers to see but no one wanted it because it was too low. I could go on but I'm certain my point has been made. As I said earlier Beware!
My vehicle was shipped from Pennsylvania to Florida and I have nothing but positive things to say about the service. Great communication allowed for easy pick up and drop off, and Dwight was available to answer all the questions I had. My car arrived with no damage and only the signs one would expect from a cross country trip. Would definitely use their services again!
Very impressive. I dropped my Rav4 off at their Wilmer office on a Friday and it was picked up that day and the driver was calling me on Monday in Los Angeles. I couldn’t believe it. I arrived on Saturday and my car arrived on Monday. That’s the best experience that I had this whole move. I can’t say enough about Kori keeping me informed. Should I go through a move like this again I will surely use Thrifty Auto Shipping again.
I worked with Dwight and Alyssa in the Wilmer, Tx office to have my '64 Mercury shipped up to Illinois. They were super helpful and wonderful to work with. Great communication and help the whole time. Dwight even drove me back to my rental car after I dropped off the Merc. Dropped off the car at their terminal on a Wednesday afternoon and the car was in my driveway in Illinois 8 days later. Great service. I would recommended them to anyone! Thanks!
I had to transport my 1964 Jaguar from ND to TX and once I made my decision to use Thrifty Auto Shipping, the rest was easy. They let me know when my car would arrive ahead of time and it arrived safe and sound without a hitch! A truly good experience with this company!
Outstanding!!! I did my research and chose Thrifty Auto Shipping out of Dallas TX. Bottomline I was very very happy with the entire process. The staff, Candyce in particular, were very helpful and kept me up to date on all arrangements. The truck driver delivered my vehicle early on the delivery date and was courteous and professional. Best price, best service, I fully recommend this company to anyone needing to move a vehicle. Remember, the Thrifty out of Texas!!
We were notified by the seller of the vehicle not Thrifty that there was an issue with picking up the vehicle. When we contacted Thrifty about the issue and to cancel the shipment Dwight was extremely unprofessional to the point of downing other companies, being rude and hanging up the phone. We understand that safety is a priority and it should be but unprofessionalism should never come into play. We are extremely disappointed and had to start the shipping process over with another carrier.
Best car shipper!!! We’ve had three different cars shipped from all over the states and no one has ever taken care of us like Dwight with Thrifty Auto Shipping! This company got the job done and made sure everything ran smooth the whole time. I just can’t say enough good things about this company. Do not use anyone else!!!
Thrifty is a brokerage that outsources their dispatch. My vehicle was damaged and I'm pretty sure they selected the lowest driver bid because that company cannot be located online, through the BBB, or any other online sources. I was left holding a leaky bag without having the damages fixed. Be mindful with them being a brokerage they will not carry your vehicle through their insurance, which was part of the problem.
