This organization is on top of the industry. They managed a large(24kW) install on my own home as well as a new roof. Everything looks great and they loved very quickly so we could maximize our savings against the huge summer bills we have been struggling to pay.

This company has exceeded my expectations from start to finish. They have been very knowledgeable, friendly and professional throughout the whole process. The process started with a conversation with Dean Kleinschrodt, who owns Kleinschmodt Contracting. He came to my house to come up with a system that worked for my home and electricity usage. Out of countless discussions and proposals that I sat through, Dean was the first person who was knowledgeable about both the systems available and the process. His proposal made sense, both asthetically and financially. He then set me up with Velocity who made the whole process seemles. Dean saw the project through from start to finish, and my wife and I could not be happier. I definitely recommend these companies for solar or roofing projects.

Mark Chamberlain was the best. I had 100 questions and he answered all of them and made us feel very comfortable with our decision. Velocity has been great, from the install, to dealing with PECO and permits and the whole 9. Will recommend Mark and Velocity for sure.

The process was so fast and efficient! The team did a great job installing, they were professional and tidy. Overall great service from sales right through the install!

It all started w/a pH call from April,who was very nice. April scheduled my appt.w/ a pleasant young man named Gavin. He took care of everything no fuss No must.as the saying goes. I strongly advise caution before working with Velocity Energy and Home Solutions. While the initial sales process and installation were smooth, the certification process and follow-up support have been incredibly unprofessional. We experienced significant delays due to simple paperwork errors, on Velocity's part, that cost us months of additional utility bills and an inattention to detail (the exterior panels were left open after a visit-see attached picture), but the most frustrating part was the hardware installation itself. Our Enphase app (system monitoring) was showing only a small fraction of the energy we were actually consuming. After calling my utility company and Enphase, I discovered that Velocity had only installed consumption monitors on one of our two electrical panels, which is not the industry standard for a home of this configuration and does not follow the manufacturer's own requirements for accuracy. When we brought this up and asked them to follow the manufacturer's instructions as outlined in our contract, their response was to ask for an additional $750 to fix their own oversight (according to Enphase the part costs a little under $50). Worse yet, when we pushed back, Velocity chose to remotely shut off our entire solar system, claiming it shouldn't have been on until the final 10% payment was made. Using our power generation as a ransom tactic during a legitimate technical dispute is petty and incredibly unprofessional. We were forced to pay the final balance just to get our system turned back on so we wouldn't lose even more money. The fact that Velocity is acting this way over a $50 part when the contract was ​$46,719.50 is both surprising and disappointing. Velocity Energy has shown that they would rather use leverage to avoid fixing their mistakes than honor the standard of care they promise in their own contracts. Look elsewhere if you want an installer that stands by their work and treats customers with respect. We currently have an email into the owner. I will update after we hear back.

Short review: If you’re interested in solar energy for your home (and you should be) — search no further: Talk to Velocity; they’re courteous, honest, knowledgable, and reliable. Those qualities are something you unfortunately DO NOT SEE in the solar industry, but Velocity possesses them all and then some! Here’s the details: After literally years of research and watching the solar industry, I was finally in a place to add solar to my property. Since my family and I plan on being in this home for a long time we knew the best way to get the most bang for the buck was to own our solar system as opposed to leasing, getting a free install and buying power from the installer, or any of those other door-to-door scams out there. We contacted literally 18 solar companies and experienced everything from a no-callback all the way to having the companies try to lie to us and steal from us. It showed us just how messy the solar industry can be if you don’t find a reputable company to partner with. After months and months of searching we feel extremely fortunate to have found Velocity Solar out of Deptford, New Jersey. Velocity came out to our home for a site survey on-time and exactly when they said they would. In fact every time they say they’ll be here: they are! Frank knew what he was talking about and didn’t waste our time - he knew the industry, the technology, the federal and state incentives, and explained it in a way we both understood and were excited to see come to fruition. Best of all he worked within our bounds of budget, and honored our desired ascetic to maintain the look and charm of our older house without seeing any solar panels or wiring conduits on the front of our home. When it was time to install the panels the Velocity team really showed their professionalism. They honored our wishes to keep the wiring inside the house, they placed the panels exactly as we wanted and discussed, and they even found and helped fix a leaking plumbing vent on our roof. The install team went out of their way to work extra hours and work extra (extra) hard to do the RIGHT thing instead of the easy thing. They maintained the look and charm of our home while modernizing us and helping us to become energy independent. I cannot give enough accolades to the high quality job they did - and it was because they cared. So many other contractors get through jobs quickly and do sub-par work, but Velocity went above and beyond for us and we cannot say enough good things about them. The system that was installed will eliminate our electric bill, keep us powered up during grid outages, and pays for itself MUCH faster than we would have ever expected. Please take it from us — after all the time, research, and headaches we’ve gone through with Solar we have finally found THE company to work with: Frank and his team at Velocity Solar out of Deptford, New Jersey. You won’t regret it!
