Wow! Wow! Wow! 10/10 in all areas! We Kansas Citians love our BBQ and this is a new favorite for our entire group! The atmosphere, our server, the crazy delicious food, customer service, and timeliness of clearing the table was all part of the complete 10/10 package for this date night! We tried the Smoked Cream Cheese Smashburger and two meat plate. The tomato jam was a party in my mouth. The corn soufflé was a nice sweet balance to the savory BBQ. Our friends had the three meat plate and ribs. All of us agreed that the food was worth driving downtown for. We’ll be back!
I stopped in here for lunch today because my wife works downtown. My wife has eaten here a few times and has tried to convince me to go here in the past. I don't particularly love the city as I grew up outside KC in the country and traffic makes me want to murder... I was on my way to the Legends so I grabbed my wife and took her out to lunch and she picked Wolfpack. We parked about a block away but I saw there was a decent parking lot but I saw a nice spot for my large truck a half block away and parked there because parking is tough in the city with a large truck. We walked in and found a seat. The sever greeted us and as asked for the restroom. The restroom was clean and well kept as can be in an old brick building. I returned to my seat and the server asked for drinks and if we had any questions. I wanted to know about Wolfpack. The server informed me they we in a pervious location for a year. They were then a food truck for a year and in the current building for 3 years. She recommended a few items and I decided to try the beef burnt ends. Our food arrived shortly and it looked good . I tried both the regular and spicy bbq sauces and both were very good! The burnt ends were very moist and possibly some of the best I've ever had. The cornbread might be the best I've ever had! I thought the Mac-n-cheese was ok and wasn't a fan of the pickles because they were the vinegar homemade style and I'm a cheap dill pickle kind of guy. Nothing wrong with them just not my style. Overall I'd say this place was pretty cool and I'd definitely recommend you try it out for yourself. The server was friendly and the bbq was wonderful.
We arrived on a Saturday between 11am and noon. The restaurant wasn’t quite busy so we were seated right away. Gabby was our waitress and she was great; welcoming and attentive. We ordered pulled pork, mac n cheese, cheese curds,brisket queso and chili. The pulled pork was on the drier side, the brisket queso was flavorful however the brisket was also dry and over cooked. Seems like it may have been from the previous day and they tried to bury the lack of freshness with the queso. Mac n cheese and chili were just okay. Cheese curds were really good though! We really had high hopes but left feeling underwhelmed. Customer service was good however, food quality was lacking a bit.
Ariel was my waitress and she was amazing. She was very knowledgeable about the food. The burnt ends and brisket were so tender and delicious. The garlic cheese curds were very good. I travel all around the U.S. to try different foods. A+++++++. The cream cheese dip was great also.
While we were leaving Fan Fest for the World Cup, we were handed a flyer for the best rated BBQ in the city. We were headed off for lunch, so we figured why not? When in KC, one should always get BBQ. I am so glad we did. Food was 15/10. Service was amazing 👏 atmosphere was everything you want from a genuine BBQ spot in KC. We cleaned our plates. My son got 2nds. I have literally told so many people about Wolfpack already. Delicious in every way. We left with full bellies and smiles on our faces.
Got takeout here today and the pork belly burnt ends were fatty and juicy and perfect. Loved the corn casserole, and the lemon pepper slaw (don’t expect a punch you in the face lemon pepper flavor, it’s just a nice light slaw). We also tried an order of the naked wings with a variety of sauces on the side and the rub was solid. Took it to go and ate it at Penguin Park. If you need an attitude adjustment for your day, bbq picnics are the way.
The best burnt ends and baked beans I have ever had. Was served with such genuine care that I felt like her son. Exceptional service and high quality food make this the best restaurant in town. You need to visit Wolfpack BBQ & Burgers!
Drop everything you’re doing and go order their garlic cheese curds. Holy crap they were good. This place also has THE best barbecue I’ve had in Kansas City. I had written Kansas City barbecue off as overhyped from the many instances of mediocre meals I’d had in the past, but this place redeemed it for me. The brisket was extremely moist with a nice bark. Mac & cheese was adequate, and I think the beans would have been much better if they had cooked them a little longer. Think al dente pasta but with pinto beans. Service was perfect, and the pit masters Kirk was very personable. I’d certainly recommend this place.
I picked up a to go order, and it was very busy..great sign! Gage was great in handling all the orders coming at him and was so kind even in the state of a crazy busy time. The food was delicious and made my whole team very happy campers! One of the best BBQ in town, and customer service is great! Such a good cool vibe! I will be back again!!
Delicious BBQ! I tried the 3-meat plate with ribs, brisket, and pork belly burnt ends. Incredible; absolutely melted in my mouth. Absolutely recommend.
