Greatly appreciated didn't think I was going to get in a car but they got it done. So now that I'm in this car I'm having so many problems. First it keeps turning off while I'm stopped have to put in park to start it back up. Then when I'm stopped and try to go it's like the engine or something isn't getting enough of something cause the car stall and won't pick up speed. I haven't had the car for 2 months yet. And when I took it back for them to look at it they had it for a full day, didn't get any updated while the had it,I had to call multiple times before I could talk to someone. Then when I did talk to someone the told me none of their mechanics work on Nissan. I don't suggest this place to anyone.
I purchased a truck from Adam’s, and within a week began hearing serious steering noises. A repair shop inspected it and found the entire front end severely worn, issued a $5,700 estimate, and deemed the truck unsafe to drive. Not a single thing was disclosed at the time of purchase. The ball joints— which should be stationary—were moving out of place. The shop told me it was fortunate I hadn’t hit a pothole before bringing it in. The required repairs included a strut pair assembly, steering tie rod ends, control arm and ball joint assembly, and a steering rack & pinion assembly ($1,521 for that part alone). Although I purchased a warranty, the claim was denied because the truck had been bought only two weeks earlier. The warranty company, which partners with the dealership, advised that the dealership should address the issue. When I contacted Adam’s, the manager at the selling location stated there was nothing they could do and offered no alternatives—even when I asked to escalate the matter. After waiting more than two weeks for the warranty decision and receiving no assistance from the dealership, I authorized the repairs out of pocket. I later spoke with Adam, who mentioned it had best if I spoken with him beforehand and have their shop take care of it. However, as stated before, that option was never presented to me by the manager at the original location. Their position was that the truck was sold “as-is” and that the failed components were “wearable items.” While that may be technically accurate, it does not change the fact that these were significant issues affecting the vehicle’s safety. A reputable dealership should reasonably disclose known problems—especially those that compromise safe operation—prior to completing a sale. They ultimately offered a $1,000 “goodwill” refund. Given the $5,700 repair bill and the manager’s earlier statement that nothing could be done (when if fact something could have), this amount provides little meaningful relief. The situation with this dealership only continues to get worse. After canceling the warranty that was sold to me, the warranty company issued a refund check and sent it to Adam’s on 12/22/2025. Since early January, I have been calling Adam’s to find out why the check is still sitting with them instead of being forwarded to my lienholder. Each time I call, I am given the exact same response: “The check will be sent out by the end of the week or next week.” I have also been told that they process checks “in bulk” because they have multiple checks to send out—whatever that means. According to the warranty company, the dealership was supposed to notify me immediately upon receiving the refund check. I never received any communication. The only reason I found out it was there is because I began calling to follow up myself. It has now officially been two months that my refund check has been sitting at Adam’s. I even had to take time out of my day to go to the dealership in person just to try to get someone to address the issue. I fully expect the next excuse will be something along the lines of “it takes X amount of time to process the refund.” There is simply no justification for a check that belongs to me to remain in their possession for this long without any resolution. Under no circumstances would I ever recommend doing business with Adam’s.
Daniel and Marcos did a fantastic job!! Smooth, efficient, and very comfortable buying experience. Would highly recommend them to friends and family
Amir was a great salesman. Very straightforward and honest. It was a pleasure doing business with him. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great buying experience.
Dedicated to Alex at Adams Auto group on Tryon St in Charlotte, NC. This man here....this man here went above and beyond to get me into the car I really wanted. The keys were lost for the last 5 customers who wanted to purchase. Omw up to the car lot, I got that bad news and started feeling discouraged. Reading the disappointment, this man searched high and low, before I received the message, and guess what?!....THEY WERE LOCATED!! HA......HA HA HA HA HA....to the last 5 that missed out! I hope you found a ride still and enjoy it as much as I do this blue Honda Civic!! Alex is the man here at at Adams Auto group guys. Make that appointment. They got car lots everywhere. Thanks Alex!! PS.
I’m leaving this review to share my experience so other buyers—especially out-of-state buyers—can go in fully informed. I initially found a vehicle listed online at a specific price. Based on that advertised price, I paid for a pre-purchase inspection. After the inspection was completed, I was sent an offer sheet that was $5,800 higher than the advertised price. I was told the manager had “recently raised the price after the holidays,” even though the lower price was still publicly listed at the time. After pushing back, the dealership did agree to honor the original advertised price. However, a $300 transportation fee was then added, which had never been disclosed upfront—despite the fact that the vehicle had been sitting on their lot for months. In addition, the document fee combined with the transportation fee added over $1,000 to the final purchase price, which buyers should be aware of when budgeting. During the inspection, my mechanic identified a bad battery that was throwing engine error codes. The dealership explicitly told me they would replace the battery before delivery. That repair was not done, and I ultimately had to replace it myself at a cost of $220. When I followed up about this, the dealership took no responsibility and pointed to the vehicle being sold “as is,” despite the fact that the battery issue was known in advance and they had stated it would be replaced. I was also told that “the least I could do is replace my own battery,” which was disappointing given the prior agreement and the circumstances. While I did end up purchasing the car, the overall experience was frustrating—not because of the cost of the battery itself, but because of the lack of accountability and the way concerns were handled. The recurring theme was that the responsibility was shifted back to the customer, even when issues had been acknowledged ahead of time. You may find a decent vehicle here, but I strongly recommend being prepared to stand your ground, get everything in writing, and carefully review all fees before committing. I would also not recommend purchasing from this dealership if you are out of state, as follow-through on promised fixes cannot be relied upon once the sale is complete. I hope this helps future buyers make a fully informed decision.
Lorenzo was awesome. He had great communication and patience with me throughout the buying process, and made it an enjoyable experience.
My experience was easy and pleasant thanks to Lance! He had everything ready when I arrived so it was a walk in the park to leave with my vehicle. Thank you to Lance and the others at Adams.
I purchased a 2019 Polaris Slingshot from this dealer on Saturday and they made the buying process simple and easy. It was pulled out front when I got there and ready to test drive. Liz was very professional and handled all my questions and concerns with care. She was attentive to detail and very easy to work with. I would purchase again from this dealership should I be in the market for another vehicle.
Alex was very helpful with my process. Couldn’t see myself purchasing without someone like him working for the dealership. Be sure to ask for Alex. Great service!
