Adams Auto was on our list of a few places we wanted to visit based on inventory we’d seen online. We called to verify that the vehicle we wanted to see was in stock as we’d shown up at out lots and the car we came to see was no longer there. They verified that it was and asked to set an appointment. I told them we were on the way. The woman insisted that we set an appointment. It seemed silly to me so I looked at GPS and set an appointment about 20 minutes from current time. Once we got there, I understood why we needed the appointment. The car we wanted to see was waiting for us. Lance was our sales person. He was friendly and knowledgeable without being pushy. I told him about the other cars and he was complementary about our choices vs knocking them. He focused on the car we were testing. We had planned to continue looking but the vehicle was what we wanted and Lance’s laid back approach made us feel comfortable. We decided to purchase. It was an easy process. We decided to pick it up on a later date for various reasons. When we did, Marcus, the finance guy had everything organized and ready to go. Overall, it was a very positive experience.

On my visit to Adams North, I was greeted by Daniel Ruiz (salesman). He was very helpful and knowledgeable about the cars and finance process. I first had an appointment with Tony but after some time waiting my salesperson’s changed to Lance. During the purchase process, Lance made uncomfortable comments about me being young and told me that “the money would keep coming, so I shouldn’t worry about having high car payments” I found those comments extremely unprofessional and dismissive of my financial situation, which may seem insignificant to him, but when you’re making a major purchase, like a car, every dollar matters. I was never asked what loan term I wanted nor tell me the name of the bank the financing was through. Then, just a few days after purchasing the car, I had a serious issue with separated tires. I had been promised that the right tire would be replaced, but I later discovered that it had not actually been replaced with a new tire instead it was used. The tires being used appeared to be very worn/used. Now I have to spend hundreds of dollars on new tires myself. Customers deserve transparency, respect, and clear communication throughout the process. Unfortunately, I did not feel like I received that here. I would recommend being very careful, and asking detailed questions.

Drove 2 hours to buy a truck here Saturday. Got home and it was leaking a good bit of diesel fuel. Monday I took it to a local shop. They called today and said it was a $2400 repair. Called the dealer and was told they would take care of it ONLY if I brought it to them. Manager said that was the owners policy. Logistically it will take a lot for me to get back to Charlotte to drop the truck off and pick it up on another day so I’m having to bite the bill on this. Bummer. Wouldn’t recommend traveling to buy from here, would if you’re local only.

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THESE CON ARTISTS. If I could leave zero stars I would. Bought a car from them December 2025 asked all the questions if there was any problems known and was reassured there was none. The next day I noticed a significant oil leak called them since I had bought a three year warranty when I purchased the vehicle they told me they couldn’t help me. They were also supposed to issue me a new tag for the vehicle and never filed the paperwork leaving me to pay $300 to get it myself. Even the tag office said there ran into this same issue with this business multiple times. Called them 10 times and was sent to the managers voicemail each time and never once received a phone call back. They are straight up liars. You should be ashamed to run a business this way. Customer service is shameful. I would never recommend anyone to ever buy a car from them ever. I would definitely say look them up on the better business bureau and see that they have 1 star for the way they choose to run this place before even checking them out. I don’t even think they have a manager considering you can’t ever get him on the phone. I’ve taken care of what needed to be taken care of and still no help what so ever
