From original proposal development, through ordering our solar array and on to installation, A&R Solar did an amazing job of sharing their expertise and answering all our questions. As a local company that understands the solar environment of the Pacific Northwest, we ended up with an affordable system that is serving our needs exactly as we'd hoped. Customer service was excellent and I highly recommend them.

A&R designed and installed our system in early 2024 and has provided amazing support since. From initial consult through my MANY questions though design then install, every one of their team members have been professional and patient. We also needed a repair and the team was here to assess the problem the next day. We received bids from 4 solar companies and chose A&R. They were not the least expensive but they had the best value and best reviews, and their in house teams means no hassles with subcontractors. A&R gets my highest recommendation without hesitation or reservation!

2 Years ago A&R Solar installed solar panels on our new home during construction. The installation and all the paperwork, etc. was smooth and problem-free. Everyone we interacted with at A&R was knowledgeable, personable, and total pros. Now, 2 years after the initial installation, we asked A&R to install power wall storage batteries. Our experience mirrored the initial install: no surprises, all work done on time, paperwork handled, etc. It was a pleasure interacting with the staff there. Essentially they delivered on what they said they would do and the entire 2+ years working with A&R was great.

I'm so pleased with the solar installation done by A&R. I admit that I wasn't sure what to expect during and after completion. The during phase was actually quite pleasant and I was able to interact with the team to learn more about the system and how to trouibleshoot it. I've since forgotten the troubleshooting tips, though, because I've never had to use them! I'm thrilled with the solar system and would certainly recommend A&R as the installer. I appreciate that they are a B Corp and are local rather than nationwide.

I had my system put in Aug 2020. I have had ZERO issues. The energy produced is exactly what they promised. The electrician and installers were awesome. They even worked with the county to make sure the down time awaiting the inspection was zero, because I had an elderly person in the house, and they did not want her without electricity for any amount of time. That was quite thoughtful. Phoebe was great as well, even coming out when I was having some trees cut to ensure the right ones were cut to provide the maximum benefit, with the least trees needing to be cut! Additionally they were NOT a hard sell, pushy company at all.

We have had our A&R solar system for just over two years, and we could not be more satisfied with our decision to go with them. Their communication from the beginning has been straightforward, trustworthy, professional, and warm. All our questions were answered with patience, the installation process was seamless, and when a small glitch arose with one of our panel connections about a year into ownership, they called us to let us know and informed us that they would be sending a team out right away. Further, the math checks out. We charge our entire five family member home and our EV for the same cost as what we paid to power our home, on average, and that was before the electric price hikes last year. We have never gone over and consistently earn credit towards our winter bills. And our electric bill will never go up during the life of this system. A&R stands out to us in particular because we were originally approached by a different company and their door-to-door sales rep. While the other company offered an excellent interest rate, further research revealed that they were selling their system for $15,000 more than A&R. All signs point to go! Go now!

Going solar is a huge undertaking. While it provides long term financial benefits, up front costs are substantial, and it is imperative to have accurate information in advance. I became interested in A&R at a solar energy show sponsored by the city of Lake Oswego. A&R was wonderful to work with every step of the way. Their computer software shows exactly how much energy solar energy can be generated on our own roof every day of the year. How much is available for our immediate use, how much power we can store onsite with batteries, and how much we can sell back to the utility. They guarantee the panels and equipment, and likewise the results. Payback is calculated to be six and one half years. If the administration’s plan to eliminate renewable energy subsidies goes in to effect, new installations will take longer to pay for them selves. The crew that installed our system was very professional, quick, and left the work area cleaner than they found it. The inspectors from the city and the power company were well satisfied with everything A&R did. It has been online a few months now, and has been functioning exactly as expected. We are completely satisfied customers.

I had a great experience with A&R Solar. They gave me estimates three different times over a five year period, each because factors had changed on my site or in the market. We finally found a moment when the time was right to go ahead. The planning and install went very smoothly. No delays once the project was underway except for one day due to ice and snow. But they had planned ahead and communicated perfectly. Everything is up and running as expected. Even my inspector from the city thought the install looked great and was impressed with the quality of the finish.
