BIC Construction LLC

I spoke to Scott at the very end of my contractor search, after interviewing 6 others for my basement project. What immediately caught my attention with Scott was that he was interested in what I wanted - the other contractors I had spoken to were unwilling to do certain things (like install carpet, or install a pre-fab vanity). Scott was the only contractor who offered to do a layout design without a deposit or commitment. He was the only one who pointed out items to "future proof" my basement, such as pre-installing PVC vents for a HE Furnace replacement later on down the line (so I wouldn't have to tear my ceiling out). He met my budget, introduced me to his team and they did everything they said they would do, down to the smallest details. I had not one, but two great project managers (Eddie and Patrick) who either stopped by or spoke to me every single day. The project finished on time. Yes, there were a few bumps in the road along the way - and if anyone tells you there won't be during a project like a basement remodel, they are lying to you - but my PMs and Scott always asked "How can we make it right?" or "We will find a solution". "No" was not in their vocabulary. Not once did they try to BS me when issues arose. Even when I made last minute changes because I couldn't make up my mind, these guys stuck with me and made it work. Their sub contractors were top notch and you can tell Scott has hand picked the pros he partners with. Not only was BIC an amazing basement finishing contractor, but hands down the most professional and organized contractor I have ever hired. My only negative remark is that I wish I could hire them again for projects other than my basement!!

BIC Construction just completed our 1,900 sq ft basement, and the results are nothing short of amazing! From start to finish, their entire team was professional, skilled, and a pleasure to work with. Sara, our project supervisor, kept us informed every step of the way and made sure all the details that mattered most to us were addressed perfectly. Chris handled all the finishing touches with care, and their carpenter Sean built an incredible hidden door for our mechanical area that truly sets the space apart. What impressed us most was the quality—this is not your average basement build. BIC used high-end materials and craftsmanship to make sure it matched the look and feel of our upstairs living space. Their timeline was spot on, and the entire project was completed in under 11 weeks, with every inspection passing easily. Even the inspectors commented on the above-average quality. Scott took the time to carefully plan the project with us in advance, meeting multiple times to ensure our vision was fully realized. The end result is better than we ever imagined, and we are beyond thrilled with our new basement. If you’re considering a basement project, look no further—BIC Construction is the team you want. We’ll absolutely be calling Scott and his team again for any future projects. Pictures to follow soon!

Highly, highly recommend BIC if you are looking at finishing your basement. The pricing is very fair and transparent; no hidden “extras” mid-project. Scott and team have good attention to detail which I appreciate. Sara, our project manager, made sure we had updates every morning about what to expect that day. BIC was a pleasure to work with and I’m looking forward to being able to spend time in our finished basement now. Very happy with the finished product - Thanks Scott, Sara, and team!

We contacted BIC to finish our basement and had a great experience. From start to finish, the team was professional, punctual, and detail-oriented. They kept us updated throughout the process and delivered exactly what we envisioned — even better, actually! We would highlight Scott and the project managers Chris P, Sarah and Chris F. We could not be happier and would highly recommend them for anyone who is looking for basement work.

BIC finished our basement and the finished product is beautiful. I had an idea and Scott and his extremely capable crew brought it to life! All of his people were skilled craftsmen. I highly recommend this company to any homeowner looking for a quality remodel.

BIC was the perfect option for our basement finish. The owner Scott did a great job going over the process with us and does an amazing job on the design. We must have made 7 revisions to the design and he was always very welcoming and encouraging about changes. As he said, our project is a one-of-a-kind project that needs to be done right from the beginning. Our project manager Patrick was amazing. He was a great communicator who enthusiastically held our hand through every step of the process and made sure every detail was done precisely how we wanted. Any issues along the way were always addressed promptly and to our satisfaction. BIC does nothing other than basements and they understand all the intricacies of basement construction that many other general contractors don't understand. We highly recommend BIC.

Can’t say enough great things about BIC! From the very beginning to the very end, they took great care of us and we are thrilled with our finished basement. Scott Schwegel, owner, and Chris Sedillo, project manager, were so great to work with. If you ever need your basement finished, this is the ONLY company you should work with!

BIC recently finished our basement and it was a tremendous experience. The owner Scott is incredibly responsive, trustworthy, involved, and easy to work with. Our Project Manager was Pat and he was tremendous. He was knowledgeable, flexible, courteous and respectful of our home, to the point where our small children looked forward to his daily visits. Chris helped out as well and did a lot of the handyman work. Chris' work, and all of the subcontractors on the job had a very high level of detail. We would absolutely recommend using BIC for your home.

BIC finished my basement and were great to work with. Scott was helpful during the consultation and contracting phase, very patient in answering all of my questions. My project supervisor, Eddie, kept me updated each work day letting me know what was going to happen, keeping me informed of any changes or updates, and answered a lot of questions. The overall quality of the work was outstanding. The custom shelves and the tile work in the shower are both far above what I had hoped for and I am in awe of the high level craftsmanship they display. I love my basement and would recommend them with no reservations.

We highly, highly recommend BIC Construction LLC for finishing your basement. They begin by showing up on time and being professional whilst bringing a wealth of knowledge and design ideas. They had the idea of moving the entire hot water heater, etc. out of the center of the room and placing it elsewhere in order to open up square footage. They took into account we needed ADA accessibility for our elderly mother, and they took into account every last wish and desire we asked for. They are communicative, talented, friendly, and only have the best, highly qualified employees or subcontractors working for them. We are incredibly happy with the results and we’re very grateful for them for taking on our project. You can’t go wrong with this team.
