My local Firestone location in Delray Beach, FL has become completely untrustworthy. Potential customers, please read the reviews to understand the ongoing issues with this shop. A year and a half ago, I brought my brand-new SUV for an oil change and tire rotation. I informed the staff that the wheel lock nut was in a clear ziplock bag in the glovebox, easily visible on top of the owner’s manual. I took an Uber home and, three hours later, received a call asking if I had the wheel lock bolt. I reminded them it was in the glovebox. An hour later, they called again saying they couldn’t find it. I began doubting myself and called my dealership to confirm they hadn’t misplaced it. The dealership explained that their mechanics use a universal nut and don’t need the customer’s lock nut. I called Firestone again, insisting it was in the glovebox. They assured me it wasn’t there. I took another Uber back to Firestone, paid for the oil change, and checked the glovebox myself. Sure enough, the ziplock bag with the wheel lock nut was exactly where I said it would be. I confronted the manager, asking how both he and the mechanic could be so incompetent. They were speechless—no apology, just disbelief. I asked if they could rotate my tires, but they claimed the only mechanic who could do it had already left, even though it was only 3 p.m., and they closed at 7 p.m. I ended up taking my car to the dealership to get the job done. Six months later, my car started pulling to the right, so I took it in for a wheel alignment. They sold me a lifetime alignment package. After 3-4 hours, they called to say the alignment was done but recommended other services that I probably didn’t need. Still, I agreed. When I picked up my car, it was still pulling to the right—nothing had been fixed. The next morning, I spoke to Simas, the general manager, who rudely dismissed my concerns, claiming I must have hit a pothole after leaving the shop. No apology, just a cold response. I never went back and drove with the pull for an entire year. Recently, I decided to use my lifetime alignment service again. I needed an oil change, so I returned to the same Firestone—regrettably. The man at the counter was friendly, apologized for the previous issues, and promised they would fix the alignment and address a slight vibration I had noticed at high speeds. Four hours later, they called to say everything was fixed, including the alignment, tire rotation, and wheel balancing. Of course, there were more upsell recommendations—this time for a brake system flush and coolant flush, which I agreed to. When I picked up my car, it still pulled to the right, and the vibration was still there. Nothing had been fixed. I called the next morning and spoke to Simas again. His response was, once again, rude and unapologetic. He told me that there was likely a “secondary issue” and that I needed to bring the car in because “today’s technology doesn’t allow me to fix the issue over the phone.” I explained that I was told the problems were resolved, but they weren’t. If a secondary issue existed, I should have been informed rather than being upsold on unrelated services. I asked when I could bring my car in, and he told me the earliest availability was next week because the only person who could handle wheel alignment wasn’t in until Monday. It’s baffling that a shop whose primary business is tires and alignments doesn’t have enough staff to handle their core services. I made the appointment for next week, but I’m in the process of contacting corporate to report this atrocious service and the unacceptable behavior of Simas. Shameful!
Bought tires that have an 80,000 mile tread warranty. After 40,000 miles had to replace. Alenza A/S ultra. Get the run around when trying to get them replaced. Definitely won’t be buying Bridgestone tires ever again! Terrible company with terrible customer service. I will add photos tomorrow.
Promoted a rebate on tires I purchased December 11th, installed December 15th, but the rebate expired Dec 25th, so I had 10 days to complete rebate paperwork. Bridgestone owes me $80.
I became a Tires Plus customer in 2014 and have gone nowhere else since. I have purchased a few sets of tires and had oil change and tire rotations performed at Palm Harbor # 232726, Clearwater # 548634, Brooksville # 168459 and Spring Hill # 380814. I have also tried to have flats repaired at Firestone Complete Auto Care Spring Hill # 798580. Brooksville especially has always tried to get out of doing balancing and alignments which are packages I paid for when purchasing tires. Recently I had to have my driveshaft rebuilt/balanced because 3 grease fittings had not been touched in YEARS! $ 716.23. That means Tires Plus did not grease them and it cost me $ 716.23. I believe that Bridgestone/Firestone is responsible for that $ 716.23 and request reimbursement. I have all copies of my work orders if necessary. BTW, Clearwater was the only store that even tried to do the work they were paid to do. Parts - $ 389.00 Tax - $ 27.23 Labor - $ 150 Wheel Alignment $ 150
Horrible company, they screw you over and they don't hold themselves reliable for the damages caused. I went in for an oil change and the tech drained my transmission instead of my oil pan, like what?? Are you dumb? They sent me driving with either engine oil in the tranmission or an empty one which messed up a solenoid in my transmission and I am needing a transmission body valve replacement. They denied my claims and leaving me to hang dry. I am a medical student, already having to work for free on top of the few hours I have to work in the week to pay rent. Yet they won't compensate me for my needed fixes, when this car blows up while I'm driving, my death will be on your hands and we're coming for you.
I recently purchased a used Nissan Rogue from AutoNation in Texas with 22,000 miles on it. The car now has 26,000 miles, and I’m shocked to find that the Bridgestone tires already have such low tread that the car is no longer drivable. I reached out to Bridgestone to address this issue, expecting a resolution. Instead, they pointed the finger at the dealership and had me running between car dealerships and a Firestone location to get the tires inspected and replaced. I also spoke with a warranty representative named Sabrina, who was very rude and filled with attitude. All she kept repeating was that she couldn’t help us, that I wasn’t part of the warranty process, and she made several sarcastic remarks. This is not someone I would want representing my team if I owned the company. Adding to the frustration, Bridgestone is now refusing to honor their warranty, claiming it doesn’t apply because I am not the first owner of the vehicle. This is absolutely ridiculous. The number of owners shouldn’t matter when it comes to the quality and durability of a product. A car with only 26,000 miles needing new tires is a clear indication of poor craftsmanship and durability. Bridgestone should be standing by their product and honoring their warranty instead of finding excuses to deny coverage. The urgency of replacing these tires comes from the fact that I now have a five-day-old newborn at home, and it’s crucial to ensure the safety of my child and wife. If it weren’t for the timing of the pregnancy, I would have addressed this issue about a month ago. However, due to the circumstances, I couldn’t deal with it sooner, which makes it even more frustrating given the car is still under 26,000 miles. I am extremely disappointed with Bridgestone’s tires, their customer service, and the lack of professionalism displayed by their representatives. I will be taking my business elsewhere and want to warn others about my experience to avoid being scammed by Bridgestone. These tires are marketed as some of the best, but my experience has been quite the opposite. Stay away from this brand.
I paid almost $600 to have my vehicle repaired just to find out they never even changed the parts (I have statements from 6 different mechanics saying both hoses were never changed) when I took my vehicle back to the firestone garage the manager wanted to charge me an additional fee to look at my vehicle and fix the problem.....a hose was leaking at the front from where they removed it to do the pressure check and did not put it back on correctly but the manager insisted they didn't touch it.....I have been calling since November with absolutely no call back from corporate to correct the issue and repair the further damage their mechanic did to my vehicle plus what I have already paid for oh and I also have a recording of your store manager pointing out how he could tell the part had not been changed then calling me to inform me nothing was going to be done no matter how many times I call they will continue to close it out as resolved.....listen to the video posted that is your store employee pointing out the repairs to my vehicle was never made and acknowledging the undercarriage of my vehicle was trashed by your employees ...I drove my vehicle unaware the repairs had not been done which caused further damage to my vehicle
Outdated and scam laden rebate policies. Change often. Vague eligibility. Denied because they couldn’t verify the invoice I uploaded - they couldn’t verify their own invoice in order to grant the rebate. I feel sorry for folks at the store level trying to navigate these bullshit promotions. For as long as I live I will shop elsewhere. Someone - outside of the store folks and the customer service line should answer for this but they want divert blame to the store level. Pitiful cowards. D rated company. Not difficult to understand why. Buyer beware. Go anywhere else. Edit: nothing but 1 star reviews as far as the eye can see!!!
My vehicle was damaged by Tires Plus (Store# 239629) in October in 2021. Management was extremely apologetic and helpful and I was more than understanding of the incident that caused damage to my vehicle. After finally receiving estimates I was contacted by Cassandra Parker via email and phone stating that I would receive a payment for a rental and damage to my vehicle, approximately January 2022. Being that most collision repair establishments are severely behind, I was added to the appointment list. Needless to say, additional repairs are needed. The assigned claims specialist at the collision repair establishment has tried tirelessly to contact Ms. Parker and she has not responded. I have also reached out and have not received any correspondence. Since she has not responded, I am being asked to either pay a storage fee since my vehicle has been there for an extended period of time or they can reassemble my vehicle without all of the repairs and I retrieve it. HORRIBLE!
If I could give ZERO stars I would however I am forced to give one. On or about November 5, 2019 we brought our daughters RAV4 by car trailer from two hours away because her engine basically blew up due to an error a local technician made while getting an oil change service a week before. We did promptly receive a call from the claims adjuster, Chet on November 7, 2019 that the vehicle was going to be evaluated within the next 10 days. Since that time we have called Chet and left at least a dozen messages for an update. We called the customer service center and got the number of Chet's boss John, left him at least a dozen messages for an update. Chet or John have never returned our calls. We have called the customer service location multiple times letting them know that neither of these two would return our calls. They transferred us to Corporate Customer Service and we have left two messages thus far. Still not one word on our claim from now 78 days ago. Meanwhile our daughter was forced to borrow a car from a church member but had to return it. The local Firestone Auto Care was kind enough to provide a rental car for going on over a month now. No other option but to get their attention through social media. This is beyond ridiculous and the definition of the worst customer service.
