I have had nothing but positive experiences doing business with Clark Public Utilities. No auto-draft errors or discrepancies in the past year I've had services with them, & their customer service team is so friendly! I just got off the phone with Courtney, & she was so incredibly pleasant & friendly, & helped explain my new connect/disconnect information so clearly with a smile you can hear through the phone. That single experiences prompted me to come on here & let you guys know what a fantastic job you're doing serving this amazing county we live in.
Horrible response time for resuming power outages absolutely unacceptable in this day and age, small storm and power has been out nearly 4 hours with NO solution or update. What the hell are we paying for if these guys can’t even fix an outage!? Isn’t their job to maintain and prevent these sort of scenarios from occurring? Despicable behavior.
I have lived in Clark County and have been a customer of Clark County Public Utilities for almost 10 years. I am consistently impressed with the quality of their services from the accounting, admin, service team etc... Outages are handled quickly, there is a clear difference in time of repairs in Clark County vs other areas around us after storms/damage/outages. My latest interaction was a street light right outside our home that would cycle on and off at night which was annoying, not major but I eventually called the main number to report the issue. I called at 9a and by 4p the SAME DAY!!! a service truck was there and replaced a couple of components within the light. Not only was the service very quick but it is also impressive that the service personnel showed up with the correct parts to replace without multiple trips or having to order items. Managing a service company myself, these are key for a great customer experience and indicate an efficiently run service team that helps to keep our rates among some of the lowest on the west coast. Thank you from a customer who appreciates your daily efforts!
Just want to say thank you. Lexi’s customer service skills and her approach and how she talks is second to none. Need more people like her. She got all my issues resolved. Extremely professional. That’s an understatement.
Our energy output drastically went up during the winter months and my roommate and I like it when it's colder so the heat was rarely on, but somehow our energy consumption doubled. It was even doubled compared to summer when we had the AC blaring all day and night. I contacted customer service and they were very friendly, but had no answers for me. They only said that we must have been using the heat a fair amount and/or a space heater and that's why they send newsletters about how to cut back on energy costs. Thanks for the emails, but we've already been doing what was suggested and it apparently did nothing for us. We can't help but feel that something fishy is going on, so thank god we moved out of the area so we don't have to rely on such a sketchy power company.
Called to get assistance on my heating bill, got an appointment and the day of my appointment I was supposed to get a call at 2:15pm and did not receive a call so by 2:20pm I called them to see what’s going on and they said they had called and couldn’t leave a voicemail because it was not set up? Yet I have a business so my voicemail has to be set up and it is! I even received a voicemail from a different person that same day! I got all of paperwork together and the only thing they could do for me was say “sorry call back tomorrow morning and try and get another appointment.” So frustrating!! My phone was next to me with the volume up and papers next to it ready to go! How about sending an email or text to let you know they called????
I called Clark Public Utilities on New Year’s Eve because I had water leaking onto my electrical panel. They came out right away and helped resolve the issue quickly. While on site, they noticed another problem that I wasn’t even aware of and stayed late to make sure it was fully repaired so we wouldn’t have future issues. Mikhail truly went above and beyond his duties. He took the time to make sure my family and I were safe and that there were no loose connections in our overhead power. He was professional, thorough, and genuinely cared about doing the job right. What a great representation of Clark Public Utilities. You have an amazing employee—please make sure he knows how much he is appreciated.
Very impressed with this company. The power went out to only our apartment and after not being able to restore it myself, I called them. The customer service agent April was efficient, professional, and friendly and like any good dispatcher (what I used to do for work) didn't give me an ETA for someone to come out but gave me an idea of what was going on in the county. The lineman was out here insanely fast and had our power back up and running in no time.
I hear a lot of people complaining about the upcoming rate increase on March 1st. Shame on you that do! Clark PUD is one of the best power companies in the area. I work for a power utility and I chose to live in Clark PUD service area. The 14.5 % increase is long overdue. They should have increased it 20% for the mere fact it cost a lot of money to upgrade substations when we are building subdivision after subdivision. If Clark PUD does not take care of the power grid in this area then we will have rolling blackouts or have to be on a scheduled power shutdown. Neither is good for the customers. Not to mention the hazards that come with the jobs. It is a dangerous environment that the men and women work in. I see it everyday. Customers should be proud of the reliable services that Clark PUD provide. I for one am very proud of our PUD!! Reggie Howell Battle Ground, WA
Just a few years ago, it was $75 for my one bedroom. Now it's $130. How come electric bills never went down when we switched to LED?
