I just had an incredible buying experience in this shop which compelled me to right a review. Admit at first I was a bit thrown by the concept and didn’t expect any customer service. Quite the opposite! Owner came over to help me look. I mentioned Alto Adige and he immediately pulls out his phone to show me pictures of his recent visit this while he guides me through their selection. Helped me select a great bottle of Champagne for a gift. Overall - incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Great selection. Reasonable prices for a downtown location. Novel concept. Definitely recommend this shop!
Their online inventory was outdated and so they did not have the wine I went in specifically to purchase. And yet their Amazon payment system still charged me $20 after I left the store empty-handed. I tried to resolve the issue with customer service, but after weeks of back-and-further, the issue has yet to be resolved. The staff inside the store was very kind and helpful during my visit so nothing against them.
This new store is great, my membership saved me money on every item (as they promised)! The app is easy to use, and they have the best wine selection downtown.
Some bumps with order updates but otherwise it is a good service.
Absolute bummer of an experience. Downloaded their app and it showed a bunch of good looking double and triple IPAs. Picked out a few and went to the store just to find out their inventory doesn’t actually match the app, even though the app literally says “Available” and lets me put it in my cart. Employee at the store said their inventory doesn’t actually match the app. When I asked where I could get the options shown as available in the app he said I could call some other store and ask them to special order it. What in the world is the point of the app showing inventory if it has no relation to what’s available in the store?! Seems like a decent spot with a good amount of selection, but the disappointment from the online experience absolutely ruined the visit. Will not return.
Avoid This place. Everything is automated with cameras, so you don't know how much is charged on your card before you get home. I was charged 54 for a 34 tagged bottle. Tried to adjust it by email but it didn't wor ...
Frustrating experience with the Amazon "just walk out" technology - they staffed a clerk at the front of the store who I approached to ask a question about signing up for the membership for cheaper prices, only to be told that I had just bought the items and that returning them would take 40 minutes. For anyone visiting, if you need to talk to someone talk to someone inside the gate, not at the front of the store which I think is the normal place to ask about stuff before you buy things
Buyer Beware. This is an automated liquor store. I took 1 bottle of wine to the counter, changed my mind, and put it back on the shelf and got a different bottle. The store ended up charging me for 2 bottles of wine, NOT ONE. The clerk was there and witnessed all of this and didn’t bother to tell me I’d be billed for 2 bottles. The charge comes in as Amazon, but it isn’t Amazon. I went back and talked to another employee who claims I’ll get a refund. My credit card registers refund credit immediately and it hasn’t showed up yet.
I never got a receipt, not on paper or on phone text as promised. The charge on my card was double what was expected. Don’t like it at all. Obviously would not go again
First time visiting and using this new way of shopping. I was intrigued yet left skeptical. After 15 min of leaving the store I wondered if I'd just walked out without being charged. Still an hour later and the initial $25 hold was the only charge showing even tho my purchase was well over $100. Finally the charge hits. It was more than should have been. When I linked to the receipt I see a bottle I had looked at and put back was charged to my cart. Had to return to the store and get the refund. The clerk apologized and admitted the system doesn't always get it right. Still waiting for that refund to hit. Beware. I won't be using this type of shopping experience again. What a PITA.
