If I am a buyer, I would just expect to enter the store, buy liquor, pay and exit. Here, they would ask you to first install and register on the app, and provide payment method even if you are not buying anything. Then, I have been charged wrongly for something I didn't buy. I have been told that the amount will be refunded within 3 business days, but I got nothing so far, and it's been more than 3 business days. I would not recommend this experience to anyone. I could have asked for the refund but the receipt will appear only after a certain period of time, and I can't just wait there.
Please, I ask for a quick refund of money!!! I bought a beer for only $7 on the afternoon of April 22, and five days later, I still haven't received my money back after deducting the price of the beer from my first $49. I was a tourist who stopped by your store to get a light-hearted beer near my hotel and was stressed that I wouldn't be able to get my deposit back throughout the trip!!!! The staff apparently said they would return the money within a couple of days at the latest, but why wouldn't they? Where should I report this issue?
Great selection and the staff is very helpful. They do tasting on Fridays and have a growler fill up station. Love that have extensive local options. I feel like I can easily spend an hour looking around at everything.
Good friendly service, their system glitched and overcharged me but they were quick to fix it for me and refund the overcharge.
Update: Owners kindly let me know that they are still family owned so updated my star rating. It was easy enough but the just walk out thing was not my fave - it holds $49 on your card (which you get back at the end) but there was no receipt option and my purchase was less than $15 so it was a little stressful until the refund came through since I'd have no proof that I walked out with less than the hold amount. Original: This Google listing led me to believe that this is a family owned business but it's Amazon. Though the "just walk out" thing smelled a little like Amazon and it was confirmed when the cc charge came through and it said it was from Amazon. No thank you.
I've used their delivery service in the past, and would go to the old location if I was looking for more variety than the grocery store liquor section. The selection is still good, but the Amazon style card/app entry system is insane and off-putting. If I'm spending $50+ on a bottle of liquor, I'd like to check the receipt to make sure it's correct before I leave the store, as a part of the normal process and not an additional task for me the customer hours or days later. I understand that this likely reduces theft, since you can't get in without a credit card or the app, but that also strikes me as discriminatory - what if I or anyone else wants to pay cash or doesn't have a credit card or phone? Even Amazon has abandoned this crazy just-walk-out system, and I will think twice before going to downtown spirits again if they keep this nonsense.
Nice selection but the auto check out process not being compatible with signing up with the membership was not clear. Once I checked out I had no option to sign up and get the discount, couldn't even reverse the charge.
I understand there is a $49 deposit to enter, but the staff shouldn’t tell people this hold will be gone in less than 24 hours when that isn’t true at all. Myself and my friend both purchased items totaling less than the deposit on a Friday. It is now Monday and they haven’t returned either one of us. There was no mention of weekend delays we were both told we should receive our refunded amount in the morning. I am sure if our purchase was over the deposit amount the total would’ve been adjusted faster. Was a nice shop but only enter if you don’t want to be refunded for days.
I received an email alerting me to a great price reduction on one of my favs. I bought all they had and the delivery took less than 30 minutes. Best in Show service!
As a new customer, I've had great experiences both in-store and with delivery. Prices are fair, and in-store employees have been friendly and helpful. I first shopped without the app, but after seeing what selection and prices they offer, I switched over to using the app which has been easy.
