for someone who’s never been here before this store is REALLY misleading. thinking the prices that were written in sharpie directly onto the front of every object in the store besides cloth and movies were codes for what type of items they were because “5.45” is just written as 5 4 5 scribbled with sharpie on the front of items. my friend and i who came both got the exact same cup, payed at the register 5.45 for mine before i realized my friends cup has 191 written on it. the cashier shrugs her shoulders and doesn’t give another care about it because they don’t do refunds of any kind.
This place is amazing. They have a little bit of everything. Great prices on most things. It's a little messy but it's because of the customers. It gets so busy the workers can't keep up with the mess. But I love it. The workers are very friendly and polite. The atmosphere is welcoming as well.
I come here when I need something specific to wear like if I have to wear something blue, I know I can find something in that color. Some stuff is over priced, I believe, since it's all used clothing. If they're going to charge $15 for a pair of pants, you could just go buy it brand new for the same price. The dishes, glasses, decorations - majority of non clothing items are priced too high. Remember, they're all used items. This store gets a lot of customers so check out line gets long a lot. One cashier spent the whole time talking to another employee in Spanish while ringing up a customer. I think that's just rude. (Especially if you speak Spanish and understood what she was saying, I could care less what her boyfriend is fighting about with her this week) I recommend this thrift store to people.
This is a great thrift store when it comes to shopping for clothes. They have so many items in pretty great condition. It’s color coded but not by size. Yes, like other people said, you will wait in line for a while, but I mean, you’re getting a good price and that’s why the line is long. I waited ten minutes tops though. The only reason why I didn’t give this five stars is because the fitting rooms were very dirty. Other than that, I loved this store.
Unappreciative store ! I walked in told young girl at register I had a bag full of DVD movies without saying a word or thank you just got movies and put them behind her. There was no customer in line and store not busy where she couldn't say thank you. Last time I donate anything to this store. I can't understand why they put people like here in register when store should know they are in direct contact with the public.
It depends on what time of day and time of the week you go. Be prepared to use a broken down shopping cart. Some workers are nice and friendly, others are questionable. Clothes are marked from cheap to overly priced. There are some bargains to be found. Check clothes before you buy. There are no refunds or exchanges. You buy it it's yours. They do have a pint system for discounts. Any purchases above $10 qualifies. If you're a regular thrift store shopper it's definitely worth it to join
Largest selection of men's clothing I've seen at any thrift store. Two full isles of jackets and coats (including plenty of leather)! Mistake to go on a cold and wet Sunday, however, easily 200 people shopping and the checkout line literally circled the store. It was worth it, though, I got four coats, two sweaters, a half dozen long sleeve shirts and a box of Christmas cards for under $45. Update: Still the best thrift shop I've been to in San Antonio for selection. Wait time for cashiers is, as noted in all reviews, unnecessary long and tedious and, I'm convinced, is mostly intentional. Manual input of odd priced items into older style registers is time consuming, no doubt. Add in cashier distractions, breaks, disdain for customers, dissatisfaction with their job, management who allows and possibly encourages this behavior, and a customer base already largely accustomed to bad treatment and long wait times. Complaining has not and will not make a difference, upset customers are the norm as are long wait times for grouchy cashiers. Consider it part of the experience, be odd and have a good time! Smile and make people wonder what you're up to! Remember, it's not the destination, it's the journey.
I went to this Thrift Store to get towels, blankets, for the freeze tonight . And the prices for a large used towel was $5 . That's ridiculous. Why, but I needed these items for my pipes, cats, rosebush. Came out to $14 for used towels. I think that is a rip off! But cashier was very nice. Good customer service but prices are too high!
The store has a good variety of different stuff. They put out new items on a daily basis. It's always pretty clean and organized but prices are a little high on the mechandise. They are donations people not brand new mechandice. I also like what they offer on weekends.
Everything is sorted by color and not size making it impossible to find anything, not to mention how over priced things are.
