Awesome market with great food and friendly people. The smoked bologne is super good. They also serve hot BBQ sandwiches for a crazy good price. If I were local I'd visit every day!
Great meat market with wonderful BBQ options prepared fresh daily. Try their saucy southerner sandwich (pulled pork and smoked brisket), a generous helping of delicious BBQ with either sweet or spicy sauce. Delicious! This is also a great place to get specialty meats. I've been to numerous places that end up getting tons of great reviews in local paper, but nobody does a better sandwiches than these people!
This is a great meat market. They have the highest quality meats and have a solid variety of products to choose from. The service is very helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. I will definitely be back.
The store is clean and the customer service is great.
When we lived in KC, we were quite close to Fareway and frequently shopped the store and ate at the foodtruck. Excellent cuts of meat. I love that they carry a wide selection of Zum products too. They have a lot, and I mean A LOT of different spices and BBQ flavorings.! I really miss the BBQ sandwich from the food truck - they weren't open year round - so it really made you appreciate it when they were! Gotta try the garlic parm fries... they are so unique and delicious. Everything is cooked to order and always piping hot! 10/10 for KC BBQ! Love, A NC BBQ native!
1.5 - pretty tragic. this is not the mcgonigles we all grew up with. the sandwich food truck is just all scraps and overcooked chuck roast pretending to be brisket. service was horrific, aside from the butcher who seemed to know his stuff, which earned them a GENEROUS second star. I would never consider going back, will actively avoid it in fact.
The BBQ truck is a family-owned Kansas City tradition. Their ribs, meats, sauce and fries are spot on! They take pickup orders over the phone. The meat counter is great for finer steaks that are hard to find somewhere else, like Tomahawks, Picanha and seafood like swordfish and mussels. They also carry a wide variety of craft beer and liquors.
Really good meat selection. A little on the expensive side, but you’re paying for the quality. I hate going to grocery stores so I love the vibes of the local market. A bit lacking on some selection for non-food grocery items. But CVS is right up the street, and the variety of intriguing food items you won’t see in a normal grocery makes up for it. I wish they had real lemons instead of lemons from concentrate given their seafood selection is very good.
Love this place for high quality meat selections. The bread and butter roast is by far my favorite roast I have ever had from anywhere. I spoke with Randy one of their butchers and his high knowledge of different cuts and why the meat tastes different from cut to cut was incredibly impressive. Randy thank you so much for your explanation today I have been going to butcher shops for 2 decades and never had one explain to me in detail like you were able to today.
Idk how but check your food before you eat… notorious for given under cooked food. If you have had food poisoning or hepatitis before you know that’s nothing to play with!!!
