I LOVE McGonigle's Market! Probably the best place you can buy your meat in Kansas City. We always just buy their sirloin, the price is good and the quality is fantastic. The meat is cut thick and it's just incredible. This by far is the place you should purchase your meat, especially for a good cut of steak. Price is a little high, but you pay for it for the quality of meat. I'd rather buy meat here and grill it myself than go to a steak house like Sullivan's. Can't say how great this place is. I'd come here every week if i could, but that's a lot of steak.
We had Mcgonagalls BBQ bulk ordered for our wedding rehearsal dinner. The food was on time, perfectly warm, and SO delicious! Our guests could not get enough and raved all weekend about how great the food was! We were very impressed! We will definitely be going back.
Their meat is amazing!! We had a roast tonight and it was awesome!!! We also got sandwiches from the diner- fabulous!!!
Great place for fresh meat. Also has meat packages. Will smoke the meat that is purchased in the store. Do not have a large selection of meat.

First time here and this place did NOT feel welcoming at all! You cannot just walk in and shop you have to be watched like a hawk and given access through the isles. It felt like I was at a night club trying to get in I'm surprised I didn't get pat down lol. I guess some customers don't mind the control under the guise of customer service. Inside the store smelled like wet dog. I'm from NYC and have been to MANY meat markets this by far has been to worse
What a great store!!!! The butcher's inside are super knowledgeable and with a great selection. The food truck outside has the best onion strings and bbq!!
The butchers here lack professionalism. Ive observed employees hiding during rushes leaving long lines at meat counters. Questions are often met with sarcastic responses or attitude. For anyone into BBQ or competitions: these butchers here should be totally avoided. They will do whatever they can to avoid pulling meat aside or anything that requires real effort. Ive placed orders in advance for a competition and arrived for them to tell me to pull items off the shelf and then watch a butcher hack chicken quarters/thighs with a clever in a rush. This is a terrible place to shop. Despite giving it multiple tries, i've been routinely burned by the lack of customer service.
Small market built around a very nice meat counter. The deli counter has lovely made to order sandwiches and last time I went they had smoked pork belly. Just perfectly wonderful crisped up and tossed on a salad. Also the only place that I have found locally with picanha. All the meats have been of excellent quality here!
Great shop; quality meat and seafood, staff is always friendly, range of products is fantastic and also easy to get other quick pick up items you have forgotten instead of needing another store trip.
