A Fareway in name only. No Grazianos sausage. No Webster City bacon. No cube/minute steaks. No Exile beer. Iowejuns would be disappointed.
I love the ground beef and whole chickens here!! They are truly real meat. 3, not 5 stars on environment....I love the quality of product so far and it is very convenient to our family but not 💯 on the "feel" of the store yet. I have only been a couple of times. Will update in near future.
Yet another Kansas City Icon. Somehow surviving the rise of the big box supermarkets Mcgonigles has been bringing the citizens of Kansas city the finest meats and sea food available for several generations. Easy to find plenty of parking helpful and efficient people happy to help.
1st time going to the Ward parkway location and it did not disappoint! Staff was super friendly even offered to carry out my groceries. Great deals on meat and snacks throughout the store. Picked up some apple cinnamon stuffed pork chops for a cozy fall dinner and had to grab some of that famous potato casserole to go with it. Highly recommended you stop in a grab your next meal

The selection at Fareway Meat Market is exceptional. They also have a variety of groceries, so it really is a one-stop-shop. You do have to be a little aggressive to get service at the meat counter. They are usually really busy and if you don’t speak up, you might be waiting for awhile. I’m 5 foot nothing and I wait patiently until an employee asks for the next customer, I throw my arm up and yell out my order. This is key to not being overlooked. Even though they are busy, the staff is incredibly helpful. The jalapeño poppers are so good, but honestly, I’ve never had anything bad from Fareway Meat Market.
I've have had their Holiday Meals for the last few years. They were well worth it. My current Thanksgiving dinner from them was horrible! Cheap, tuff ham! Couldn't even chew it! Wasted the money, and the Holiday! Was going to get their Christmas dinner as usual, but not anymore. Very disappointed. Please don't make the same mistake.
Fareway is my local butcher, and I never have a bad experience with their team. I recently used one of their cuts, a five-pound brisket, for a large dinner party, and it was a huge success. Their meats are excellent quality and well priced.
Great meat selections. Everything is top quality. Boars Head Deli meat. Their BBQ is very good as well.
