Unfortunately so uncomfortable to shop here, plus zero costumer service by the cashiers after paying for an item and leaving they just say thank you as you walking past them in self checkout area. Being watched all the time and stared at. I stared back at the employee. There is no seating area in this location to sit down and eat or just sit down and rest.. And the bathroom is very dirty. And there is no family bathroom here and no womans bathrooms only a single stall bathroom that is always dirty and out of service. Upon leaving it feels like the walk of death. Not family friendly. I do acknowledge certain deli employees that has excellent costumer service. Others not so much.
The security guys here are so chill, and cute! Honestly always a pretty easy going store. Always seeing bums getting profiled is actually kinda messed up and makes me not wanna come here. Treat everyone with respect regardless if they're homeless or not. If they're stealing that's understandable but just kicking them out because of how they look? Disgusting
Bought spoild steak that made me sick when I cooked it the next day. I figured it was still good when I took the picture and searched on the web how to tell if a steak is spoiled and didnt think it was. Tell me what you think.
This store has more than you think it does! Even though they don't have an electronics department they do have a pretty good section for accessories with home electronics. They have toiletries and makeup as well as groceries. I find this location to be convenient with the underground parking and such. I went for earbuds which they did have a section for earbuds and they had some Skullcandy I could have bought but I was looking for the ones that were on sale and they were all sold out.
Went in to do an Uber Eats shop and pay order. Was no problem, just a box of diapers that I paid for using my issued Uber Plus Credit Card. Went to a checker who was great, then walked towards the exit with the diapers and receipt in hand. As I walked passed the security guard I held out my receipt so he could see and expected him to mark it with his pen, in my stride, as I was on my way to deliver a customers order. But that's not what happened. Instead the security guard stepped in front of me, slowly and deliberately and to have me come to a complete stop while he took the reciept and prepared to examine it. And so he did. Now I'm not sure why he needed to stop me, being that I had just come from check stand 1, had 1 item, and the receipt in hand. I can only conclude that he does not read all that well and needed time to decipher the 1 item receipt in his hand. But as the seconds went by it became clear that he just wanted to assert his authority and show that if he wanted he could make me stop and wait for him. And that's what he did. It was embarrassing in that he was almost incinuating that I could be a diaper thief looking to execute a daring mid day caper that he could say he foiled. Out of the many folks that were exiting the store at that moment, he thought it appropriate to give me and my 1 box with reciept the extra long look. When I questioned his motive he smirked at me and read my 100% legitimate receipt very , very slow. He's a jerk, and I'm not sure what his problem was but he totally ruined my trip to this Fred Meyers.
It's hard to review this place, because it's so big, and because it's in a really diverse & challenging part of the city. But overall they've done a good job "towing the line" between all these things. I feel safe shopping at this Fred Meyer & they have a solid selection of things
I use food stamps and an OTC card via insurance and i have my primary store, but Fred Meyers is my 2nd store for all this.
Always loved this place. Great staffing super nice selection always. Can as always the deli is always on point.
A clean well-stocked store. Underground parking with elevator and escalator to store. Plenty of self-checkouts. Pharmacy too
Fred Meyer's has a new security gate to keep the employees from escaping 😆. Never a dull moment at this place. I feel sorry for the employees who have to take all of the verbal abuse all the time from all walks of life.
