Goodwill Store - Bedford

Prices are the same as upscale cheapskate and Plato’s closet- but those locations don’t get their clothes for free and also have better quality clothing

The staff was kind and very helpful. I had never been to this location and couldn't find the toys. Well, they were low on toys that day and asked me to come back the next day. There were some very nice things there, but I came with my figures crossed. I was hoping to find a Reborn baby doll...no luck.

I’ve been going to this store for 8 years now and I’m finally fed up with 3 ladies with their families that sit in the back waiting for the new merchandise to come out. They strategically place themselves around the carts so no one else can get to anything new. I know there has been other complaints about this but nothing has been done. It’s not fair to everyone else that shops there that wants to see the new merchandise and get a chance to buy it to. I know other goodwills have rules about not going thru the carts until the carts are put up by employees. Please look into this so it’s more fair for everyone.

The management at this store are very unprofessional and condescending.

Do not give tips or donations of any kind to employees. If you are unsure about any type of vehicle : airplanes,cars,trucks,boats,jet ski,cargo trailers or riding lawn motors speak to a store manager or call the corporate office. On March 19,2024, Goodwill lost a substantial donation because an employee failed to follow company policy. The employee has been terminated for accepting the donations and not inquiring if Goodwill accepted the item. To the former employee I pray my donations helps you secure housing or that truck driving job you wanted. Everything happened for a reason this substantial donation should jump start him with a legal business,housing or a new vehicle. The title will be available March 29,2024 for legal transfer. If the former employee wants the legal title it will be mailed to a FedEx or UPS Store. I ask all that read this post to pray for the former employee to obtain stable housing and employment. Goodwill offers employment to help people in all types of economical situations some with a criminal history. I suggested to Goodwill, they place a sign in the donation area not to give any donations to employees. We as donors don't know the employees or their situation or store policy. For the past 20 years I have been blessed to donate new and unwanted items. This unfortunate episode by no means has not stopped me from donating I will continue to give unwanted items to Goodwill and others.

Arrived way before they closed today, everything was neatly folded and in boxes. The man at the donation drop off in the back acted like it was a hassle I brought so many items for donation. One of the items I tried to donate was something we received from Amazon a few days ago; they sent some kind of bedspread/cover to our address. We didn’t order it and Amazon said not to send it back. We didn’t need it and tried to donate it today. Brand new, still in the wrapping but opened to see what it was. Apparently Goodwill doesn’t want donations like this but yet they sell them in their store? I asked if I could use his dumpster to throw it away, he said it’s not for public use. Just shaking his head as he walked back in. Not even a thank you, have a nice day, nothing! Lesson learned - Take your lightly used or even new item donations someplace else. There are many other organizations, secular and religious, around here which will accept them.

I went to go drop off items to donate. The lady came out and inspected and said no we don’t want anything very unprofessional and rude.

Never shopped here but the guy that receives donations is extremely rude. Honestly one of the rudest people I've ever met. He completely ignored me when I drove up to the point where I thought maybe he either did not speak English or did not work there. I had a moving truck with some stuff in it to donate. They wouldn't take the fridge which I didn't know they didn't take. However, they waited until the movers unloaded it and we're about to leave before telling us it wasn't good enough to take. It was an older white fridge but worked perfectly fine! It had been sitting in storage a couple months so needed some cleaning but that was it. If I was not paying the moving truck per hour I would have said never mind and taken my stuff to another place. I've donated stuff to good will and arlington and had a great experience there. I will never shop or donate to this location again

Good experience, nice store, good clothes, but the check out is always a hassle and takes forever. Goodwill fully staff or hire an extra 2 or 3 people there always seems to be one cashier even when there's a line of 10 plus people

Donating to Goodwill always makes me feel good. The parking lot is huge and they have plenty of open spots. They accept furniture here as well. They have a drive-thru donation service on the side of the building. They quickly unload your items and give you a receipt upon request. The attendants are extremely nice. They sort the items later so you do not have to worry about the process taking a long time.
