If you are looking for a terrible coffee shop run by pretentious and rude hipsters then look no further! I ordered a triple shot latte and since they pull double shots, I asked for the fourth shot on the side so it would not be wasted. I have ordered this drink at every coffee shop for years and never an issue has been had. I paid for all four shots as they don’t offer a lesser price for three. After waiting for 15 mins a grungy hobbit like hipster of a manager came forward and informed me that “they don’t make my drink and if I want the fourth shot I would have to buy another drink”. I explained that I had paid for a quad shot and he still refused to serve me it. I offered to pay the difference it would cost to put my fourth shot in a small paper cup to which Bilbo Baggins replied “it doesn’t matter, we don’t make that drink and my baristas would have to charge me for an additional drink” I am not sure how things work in the Shire but in the real world if you pay for four shots of espresso then you get four shots. Maybe this is Herpmans way of pocketing some extra money or maybe Bilbo wanted the extra shot for himself?

The absolute best! I moved to Chicago 4 years ago but always stop in when I'm in town. They set up a little bodega shop there with amazing selection. The best quality and menu for hand crafted espresso drinks! Also the muddled fruit iced tea is amazing. A must visit!! The staff and customers are awesome.

Went here a few years ago, if you’re in the area definitely give it a try! I wish I lived close by i’d go all the time! The atmosphere is so friendly and the staff is great! Spent a good amount of time here with friends enjoying coffee and played some of the board games they had provided. Not sure if they still have them, but it was great fun with friends! Delicious coffee can’t recommend them enough!
Great coffee roasted on site... Old garage vibe, as it is an old garage. Great spot on weekends with food trucks and entertainment. Also dog friendly.
Perfect seating atmosphere, especially when the weather is nice. Great ice coffee and donuts.
One of the most special coffee shops around and an asset to the community. They make the great use of their space. The coffee is consistently superb, they’ve got a really neat pantry space going on, and they host a variety of awesome food trucks and chefs. No other coffee shop in the city is doing what they do. Most of the baristas are cool. Be careful getting in and out of those lawn chairs.
I have no idea how this place has a 4.8 rating because I’ve tried it three times just to give them the benefit of the doubt. I’ve had to wait a long time and a lousy simple oat milk latte that tastes… just really bad. It looks dirty in here and is not an inviting type atmosphere at all. Will never return.
Would absolutely be my go to and local coffee spot. High quality espresso, coffee and drinks that you can truly taste the difference in. Beyond the coffee the physical space is awesome. An incredible selection of local and boutique products from pastries (oyster mushroom picture), speciality foods, hot sauces, and a great selection of cordials/bitters and NA spirits.
