Little Water exceeded all of my expectations, yet again, this weekend. It’s refreshing to go to a restaurant with a rotating menu that doesn’t fall into food trends and gimmicks, instead serving inventive dishes and cocktails that keep me coming back... Though, I would be lying if I didn’t say how hard it is to not order my favorite menu staples like the swordfish Milanese and their caesar every time. Go with some non-picky eaters so you can try everything

Disappointing. Drove from Lancaster as a treat for our anniversary. Made a reservation a month in advance. Upon early arrival we are told we have 10 minutes to order food because the kitchen closes and everyone will be gone. Why they allowed a reservation to be made at that time if this was the case is beyond me. Raw bar item was as described, sausage gravy was great but the biscuit was stale and hard half way from the bottom. Cocktails were fantastic, water glasses had lint in them. Was so loud, maybe it’s where we were sitting but myself and the table next to us had to lean in to hear each other. We were there all of 30 minutes and had to hear semi-charmed life. Almost can’t be upset we were rushed. We could have gone literally anywhere else, this place is not special.

Little Water is an excellent date night in Rittenhouse. You'll notice right away that the atmosphere and interior design are welcoming and sophisticated. Both the drinks and food menus are short and well-curated. The white negroni was a favorite. The menu was a little on the expensive side, but was not disappointing. I think this would be the perfect place to get a couple light bites and drinks at the bar.

This was easily one of the best restaurant meals I've ever had. It's hard to pick a favorite dish--the Caesar salad might have been the standout, and that's saying a lot, given all the amazing seafood we shared.

I will say the service is realllllly good. It was small but it was packed so they’re obviously catering to their target audience whatever that is. But tbh the food was nasty. I paid $200+ for two people. Which is fine but I expected a more upscale experience. I had oysters.. ( it had white bbq sauce on there), fried quail, and fried bass. The sauce on the bass was good fish was bland. Idk any good chef will know how to balance salt, sugar, acid and fat and they missed the bar for the price point. But if you want unseasoned food for $100 this is your spot. Again. Service was 10/10 and they gave my gramps a birthday card which I thought was thoughtful. The non alcoholic drinks were amazing nonetheless. Would not go back.

Unique contemporary American cuisine. Menu was unique and had true flair. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly. Crab and oysters were incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. Meat was absolutely delicious and sweet potato puree was incredible. The ambiance was lively and hip but comfortable. We noticed that the lovely wooden acoustic panels on the wall did their job well; the restaurant was full but we had no trouble hearing one another—a rare treat nowadays. Totally recommend Little Water. I’m looking forward to returning and bringing out of town guests.

Great service, great food. Cocktails were good too. Menu top portion is starter/ raw bar, followed by small plates, then mains. The mains are a good size, there's a 3lb bass which I saw was enormous. We got one app, two small plates and two mains for two people and it was more than enough. My only downside was that it was loud inside due to the small size of the restaurant.

Little Water is such a gem! From the moment you step inside, you can tell Amanda and Randy have poured their hearts into every detail. We celebrated my birthday here, and wow — what an experience! Our faves were from the raw bar, plus the hash brown topped with crab and roe and the fish Milanese. Everything amazing! The service also made the night super special, everyone went above and beyond. Highly recommend for an exceptional evening in the heart of the city.

Midday dining rarely hits this high of a note. Tucked into Rittenhouse, Little Water delivers a masterclass in seafood-forward dining that is sharp, intentional, and entirely devoid of pretension. Sitting at the bar for lunch, the experience was elevated by seamless, amazing service that set the perfect pace for a phenomenal meal. Here is how the lineup stacked up: Oysters: Outstanding. The pairing of Alabama white sauce and their housemade hot sauce was brilliant. In my opinion, that housemade hot sauce is the absolute star of the show—so good that I kept the bottle anchored at my seat throughout the entire lunch. Raw Hiramasa: Clean, precise, and expertly balanced with fermented daikon and cucumber pico de gallo. It’s a dish that highlights the kitchen's respect for high-quality raw ingredients. Crawfish Salad: Served with fried bread and a rich shellfish emulsion, this was a texturally perfect, deeply savory hit. Spring Peas & Shoots Salad: A vibrant, bright interlude. The combination of fresh peas, ricotta, lemon, and benne seeds provided a crisp, necessary contrast to the richer courses. Cornmeal Crusted Catfish Sandwich: A flawless finish. The catfish was perfectly fried, complemented by the sharp tang of gribiche and the classic crunch of "shredduce." The Verdict: Little Water is firing on all cylinders. From the flawless execution of the food to the top-tier bar service, it is easily one of my favorite spots in Philly right now. I’ll be back!

Delighted with this addition to the neighborhood. Lively and lovely venue from the good folks at River Twice, the Passyunk Avenue spot. The menu is stunning, with crowd pleasing dishes like the Hash Browns with Peekytoe Crab and Uni (a delicious combination of hot and cold, soft and crunchy), Caesar-like Salad, Country Ham with Squid Ink Biscuits, and Sweet Amalia Oysters. Whole Fried Black Bass is like a sculpture set in the center of the table. Cocktails are excellent. The chicken is a very large portion. Most plates are share size. Many people order the Grande Plateau, which looks like a lot of seafood.
