I’ve been on food tours in other cities (Boston, Portland, Maine, San Francisco) so decided to try one in my city. WOW! Highly recommend this tour- lots of great food and drink and our guide, Herb, was extremely fun and informative.
So happy we picked the Carts, Pods, and Patio tour for our first day in Portland! Herb’s passion for the food, people, and city was so welcoming and entertaining! We enjoyed everything we tried. We loved the variety and the stories about the people who made what we were eating. Highly recommend whether you are a picky or adventurous eater!
We loved the Lost Plate Portland Food Tour! Michelle was awesome - she was very knowledgable and shared enriching information during the tour about Portland's food, coffee, and beer scene. Her food choices were impeccable too! The food tour was a highlight of our Portland visit!
This was the best food tour I have experienced across a number of cities. Our guide, Herb, was exceptional. He was knowledgeable about the history of Portland and its food/food carts, very engaging and extremely enthusiastic about each of the places we visited. Come hungry and enjoy the walk!
Had great time on the Donut & Coffee tour with Evangel! Got hungry and skip your morning coffee since there will be plenty on the tour (even some you can take for later). Evangel was great - she was not only very knowledgeable about coffee she also pointed out some fun facts about Portland and left everyone with personalized recommendations for our visit.
Loved this tour and Michelle’s enthusiasm. She picked unique dishes for us to try and supplied a ton of food without it feeling too overwhelming. Her relationships with the chefs/owners makes everything so personal. Be prepared to eat, laugh, and learn!
My husband and I had a fantastic time on the food cart and pod tour! Our host, Herb, was knowledgeable about both the food and local Portland culture. Plus, there were zero issues accommodating our vegetarian diet, and the portions were perfect! We highly recommend the tour for those interested in sampling a range of delicious food cart cuisine.

My wife and I did the Portland Food Carts, Pods and Patios tour this afternoon. Our guide was Herb and he was great! We had three hours of tasting interesting food from all over the world — including Ukraine, Burma (now Myanmar), Mexico, Canada and Thailand. Herb was great and really made the tour come alive with his knowledge of the Portland food scene and cultural history. What a nice experience!
Michelle is an excellent host. She is very friendly and welcoming. She is also very knowledgeable about Portland in general. Amazing variety of different types of food to try from all around the world. Would definitely recommend. Would definitely take the tour again.
