Lost Plate Portland Food Tours

This was my first food tour and I was pleasantly surprised. Each stop was unique and most enjoyed. The Fullerton wine company was the highlight of the tour. The wine was excellent and the cheese and meat plate was outstanding. This stop set the mood for the tour. Each stop following was very good and the tour guide was most informative. We finished off the tour at the Happy Labrador Brewery. I had an excellent cider as I am not a fan of beer. I recommend the Lost Plate Food Tour to anyone looking to learn about some of the finest but lesser known food and beverage establishments. I enjoyed every moment of the tour.

Amazing tour guide/host/story teller/everything. Michelle was awesome with her knowledge of the food, the locations and Portland I general. Food portions were very generous and I couldn't move or breathe after hahahahaha. Would highly recommend the food cart/Pods tour.

The Lost Plate Portland food truck tour was a great way to introduce ourselves to a little slice of Portland on our first visit to the city. Tour guide Herb welcomed us with generous amounts of friendliness, charm, and information. We learned of the history involving carts and pods in Portland. It’s a fascinating industry and has led to many fabulous brick and mortar restaurants with cart origins. But the food available from trucks and carts is amazing in its variety and tastiness. Herb offered us a great selection of drinks and eats, explaining the who, what, and where of each. We definitely ate well and were not left hungry or disappointed in the selections. In addition to Herb’s great company we had the pleasure of meeting lovely locals on tour with us. PDX❤️

Beyond amazing experience with Michelle as our guide today. Booked it as a birthday gift for my brother and had such a fun time learning about all of the diverse food options in Portland. Perfect amount of food, great history lessons along the way, and a bonus art tour of the murals in SE. 10/10 recommend and would do this again in a heartbeat. Thank you for such an awesome day!

I participated in a Food Cart tour with Michelle. One of the things that really made the tour special was the integration of art, history, and culture. In addition to eating delicious food, you get the opportunity to see and learn about street art and hear a bit about how Portland's neighborhoods developed. I was staying in downtown and would strongly recommend crossing the river to check out the neighborhoods there.

There are a few things that I loved about the food cart tour with Lost Plate Food Tours….First thing is I LOVE that this is a small, family owned and run company that focuses on experience and quality! Second thing is that my tour guide, Herb, was so knowledgeable about the city, LOVED his job and LOVED working for Michelle and Lost Plate Tours. It was such a pleasure to be led around Portland with Herb and meet new people and new foods. There was a disgruntled patron at one of the pods we visited and it created quite an uncomfortable feeling for everyone, but Herb handled it exceptionally and was able to shake off the disrespectful & negative energy and continue with the tour in the best way! The food selections were amazing, the locations were super cute and fun and it was only perfect that it was raining! I would definitely recommend and take another tour.

This food tour seemed more unique than a lot of the other food tours we’ve done in the past. I loved going to the pods and the food selected was delicious and things I wouldn’t have tried on my own. Herb was a fun and knowledgeable guide. Definitely recommend!

As Portlanders who are well versed in the food scene, my wife and I took the food cart tour as her gift for our anniversary. We thought it would be a good opportunity to be guided by someone who could give us a perspective that we haven't experienced. And this turned out to be the case. Our tour guide, Herb, took us to food carts we may not have gone to, ordered items we may have passed over and filled us in on details about Portland's food cart scene that we didn't know. Overall, this was a really fun tour and I would recommend it to anyone coming in to town and want to spend a few hours eating and being shown around, or locals who want to relax and let someone else make the decisions for you.

Very cool tour focused on Food Cart pods around Portland. International cuisine with fresh ingredients! Our guide, Herb, was personable, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about both the food and Portland's history and culture.

Herb was a great tour guide and the knowledge he offered about not only the food cart scene in Portland but about the city and its history was fantastic. He is clearly passionate about Portland and it was contagious!
