I absolutely love this place. The best lobster rolls ever also incredible lobster bisque.. A must try !
Best lobster rolls I've had anywhere. The service is great and the staff is friendly. I had the lobster flight and all 3 flavors were tasty, but the lemon butter was 🔥🔥🔥. I definitely recommend and and can't wait to go back.
Crispy butter-roasted bread wraps generous chunks of chilled lobster meat, making the lobster roll soft and tender. The clam soup is slightly salty, with tiny grains of sand present in the clam meat.
Really friendly service, delicious rolls (lobster, crab, and shrimp), and quite good coleslaw. We've been craving lobster rolls lately, so much so we're planning a trip up to Boston or Maine soon, but this was just the ticket to tide us over till then. Can't wait to return and try the soups in the winter! 😋
I have been to other Luke’s lobster location, this one is paritcularly spacious and food quality is consistent. I got the warm lobster roll, spicy honey lobster roll, and lobster mac. Most of the rolls are cold, so it is nice to try the warm lobster roll and have to order one of my favorites – spicy honey lobster roll as well. Lobster Mac on the other hand is alright, the pasta they used is quite unique but flavor wise is just okay, and not a huge fan of the breadcrumbs on top.
I found Luke's Lobster after Yelp-searching "best restaurants" in the Philly area. They weren't in the top 10 but had a high amount of reviews and star average. ATMOSPHERE: Low tops dominate the space with countertop seating offering views of passersby. The place was clean and cool. A single bathroom was available in the back. MENU: Soup, salad, lobster/crab/shrimp rolls. Beverages are juice, tea, Diet Coke and root beer. They're also BYOB. FOOD: The Luke Trios + Soup + Drink The trio is comprised of their three rolls of crab, lobster and shrimp. I made it a combo by adding a drink and soup of Clam Chowder. Though the rolls looked small, they were piled high with cholesterol! The crab and lobster were my favorites, very fresh and lightly seasoned which brought out their natural flavors. I like shrimp but these are the little ones which were boiled (my least favorite preparation) and were too underdone for me. Butter was prevalent in every bite, from the bread to the drizzle on top. The clam chowder was hot and creamy, chocked full of potatoes and a few bits of clam. For my beverage I chose the Sweet Leaf Tea-brand of black leaf lemonade which was very refreshing and low on sugar. Highly recommended. Poppyseed Slaw - Not available. Boo for my spouse. SERVICE: Order at counter and the food is brought to you. After you're done, you clean up after yourselves. The staff were friendly and patient. OVERALL: My months of healthy eating went down the drain in a mere half hour.
The food.... Wow! We got the 3 diff rolls. One was a shrimp, one lobster and the other one was a crab meat I think...I dont know ow what else to say. From the roll to the shrimp, lobster... Everything was good. It came with a bag of chips. The place will get another visit.
There’s an art to building a good lobster roll. The toasted buttered bread is a standard first step. Then the tender seasoned lobster filling follows. Luke’s Lobster understands the process and does not over complicate the lemon buttered succulent lobster. For that, I thank them profusely. Their rolls are a hit!
I am literally sitting here in the restaurant eating and typing this. I got the lukes lobster roll (warmed) with sea salt and vinegar chips and drink … and i am already thinking of when i can come back. Not only is the food delicious but the staff is very friendly. It’s a 5/5 for me!
The spicy butter honey rolls have always been my favorite. I take a bite and I kid you not: it never fails to disappoint me. Fresh and delicious, love the flavor, and I get different parts of the lobster. Today, I was feeling under the weather and decided to treat myself to the typical; however, was blown away by their attention to detail, care, and service. Thank you to Margaux and Joe (the GM) for making my day. I will come back for the rolls, rain or shine! -MTG
