Visited this restaurant as part of a large, business dinner so we ordered from a preselected menu. I ordered the Mississippi pot roast and it was a good portion served over mashed potatoes. It was good and very filling. I was able to get the pecan pie cookies for dessert although I would classify them as mini pies and not cookies. The service was friendly and we got our orders quickly despite being a large party. Since the food and service were good, I would go back.

I had the chicken and waffles! They were excellent! The servers were beyond perfect and the atmosphere was fun and relaxed. My buddy and I can here to try this place out and thoroughly enjoyed it. We talked with the staff here and just really enjoyed our conversations with them and the ambiance this restaurant had. I will be coming back!

While visiting the area I came here one evening for dinner… The place was packed when I got there, but I was able to find a single seat at the bar. The primary bartender, Matt completely ignored me while I was there, but a different bartender (sorry, I forgot her name) was more than friendly and helpful and came to check on me… about 10 mins after I sat down. The menu is interesting, loaded with many southern-inspired delicacies. They offer a fried chicken that looked and sounded amazing…. Which is on the menu as something that might be better off shared. I asked the lady serving me about this and she suggested the AYCE style of friend chicken, which worked for me and was an excellent deal, especially for All You Can Eat!! It’s was considerably lower priced than the smaller order of fried chicken diner plate listed in the menu. The chicken and sides came out quickly, was fresh, hot, and flavorful. The crust on the chicken was crispy and tasty with the meat being moist and tender. The sides were just ok… The mashed potatoes looked great, but were very bland. The green beans were tasty, as was the mac & cheese. But the best side was the biscuit, it was soft and very flavorful! Overall, I wanted to enjoy everything about Lula’s more than I did, but the initial service kinda set the tone. Though my server was excellent, the warmth just wasn’t there. I’d still recommend stopping in, they have so many great options and I’m sure service at the tables would be better.

Our first time at Lula's was to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had a reservation, arrived about 10 minutes early, and were seated right away. The place was nearly empty. It was 25 minutes before we were approached by a waiter. Could have just been an off day. The food was ok. Cocktails were great! People really seemed to enjoy the pasta dishes, and they looked good too. We ordered pot roast and shrimp & grits. As another reviewer stated, the dishes seem to have a lot of added salt and/or sugar. The place was completely full when we left. I would try this place again, but not for a special occasion dinner.

Came in off a whim. But from the server(oh I wish I could remember her name, but she did her big one with recommending the banana pudding) highly recommend. A lot of the reviews say how packed they get. We came in at a great time. Wasn't busy at all. Two of us bill just a little over a hundred.

The food, drinks and atmosphere are incredible but what really made our experience memorable was our fantastic server, Nina. She was sooo kind, so attentive, and so fun to dine with. We will be back, and always in hopes that we will get to see Nina again! Thank you for making our friends birthday so special!

Let me admit a couple of things at the outset. First, I'm not an expert in southern cuisine. And second, I got the fish fry, which wasn't anywhere near as sauce and nuance intensive as some of the other dishes on the menu. But I was impressed with how good it was. The two types of fish were breaded differently, which added some fun variety. The hushpuppies were flavorful rather than sweet. And everything I had took full advantage of the restaurant's commitment to scratch cooking, with a fair amount of it locally sourced as well. The atmosphere was pleasant and not too noisy early on a Wednesday evening. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful with the menu. I will definitely be back, especially when I find myself in a more adventurous mood.

I’m from Oklahoma and this is Just Like Home.. but better. If I had to describe the flavor.. It would be the Blending of Soul Food & Southern Food. You don’t get the Heavy feel to your pallet nor do you compromise on Seasoning ( not I overly salty) . But the Added Bonus is the Healthy ingredients, and Clean Taste that leaves you wanting more. FYI.. it heats up well the next day. Okay.. I went back 3/19 Sunday and the food , service, quality was the same - Great. Jeff was our server- super nice and knowledgeable about the food. Chef came over and snapped a pic wit me . I love this place

My new favorite restaurant. Compliments to the chef. Everything as soon as we walked in was amazingly. Host was super friendly and bubbly. Server had a smile the entire time. I noticed the staff kept busy the entire time. Everything was very clean. Good presentation was perfect. The food is to die for! As a previous server and manager in the food industry, I was very impressed. Also loved the bathroom and decor, super cute.
