The best beer list in the city and probably top 5 in the US. I’m in the beer industry from Canada and I’ll keep coming back whenever I’m in Philly!

Carly was the best server ever, truly turned my whole mood around. She recommended the chicken liver mousse and i was excited to try something new. i came into monks with a rotten attitude from a long work day, and i left skipping and blowing bubbles all the way to the park.

Fantastic spot for anyone who loves great beer and a vibrant atmosphere. I recommend coming during lunch or early afternoon, as this place tends to get packed later on. The beer selection is excellent, and the food menu features delicious traditional dishes, with the mussels being the real standout! They’re a hit, perfectly cooked and full of flavor.

One of the best bars in the city. There various mussels and wings are delicious! They boast one of the largest selections of Beers in the city! Service is friendly! It can get packed so get there early!

Some of my most memorable dining experiences have been at Monk's. It's a treat every time to go there with delicious beer, scrumptious food, and the staff is always professional and kind. Their fries are unbeatable and their vegetarian philly cheesesteak is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had.

Super nice place to stop and have a bite to eat. Stopped here on a whim and I wasn't disappointed that I stopped. Great food, with fabulous flavor. A nice place to stop to recharge yourself after a long day if either traveling, work, or both. Beer selection is good, so you need to definitely try one that's on tap. Staff is great and super polite.

I've walked by many times but I never got a chance to try until very recently. I'm really glad that I did! All of the food was delicious. We had the mussels, pate, duck salad sandwich, and the pasta. They have a great beer selection too! A lot of different sours to choose from if that's your thing. Looking forward to coming back in the future.

Great experience having some really awesome beers. Good is good. We had mussels a hamburger and the chicken tenders. The tenders were a large portion. We also ordered the lamb meatballs. Which tasted awesome but also only included 3 tiny meatballs. Will definitely be back.

I've been many times and this is one of the best bars in the country. Small but diverse and rare draft list plus an extensive bottle list that is reasonably priced for what they are offering. The food is amazing. Don't sleep on the mussels. I miss the version stranded with gueuze, but the current options are still great and extremely well priced for the healing portion you get.

Visiting Philly, late in the afternoon and had a nice table with a view of the street. The environment was nice and calm with friendly staff. The burger was delicious, and melts in your mouth. The beer selection was good and the Belgian beer I had paired perfectly with my burger. Wish I ordered more food.
