NRG is great! I didn't think that they were going to help with getting my electric bill to be lower. Once they got everything taken care of my electric bill went down. People are polite and want to make sure that you have the lowest rate that they can get you. Definitely worth it.
Absolutely horrible. My bill has doubled at least and I have charges from nrg on top of pseg on my bill. This is ridiculous. I called to cancel but they said it'll still be 1-2 billing cycles. So you're telling me that I'm going to keep getting bills over $500 for 1-2 months? You need to make sure your "sales" guys walking around stores tell people the damn truth. This is BS!! I do NOT want to be any part of nrg nor will I EVER refer anybody to use your company.
NRG Home is about the best utility company I have used so far. Their rates are great. There's never any hidden fees. No binding contract. You can cancel your service anytime without penalties. Their Customer service is one of the best. I will recommend them anytim e
If you call before your 3 month fixed rate is over, to keep you as a customer, they will give you another 3 months at the best rate. The only drawback is that you have to keep doing that to beat peco's rate. I prefer saving money. M.H. Coatesville PA

Great introductory rates, but then prices soar. I just switch bak and forth between NRG and Vista Energy every 6-12 months. Both companies make it easy to switch and lock-in rates for 6-12 months.
I had an absolutely terrible experience with NRG as my supplier. I got roped into their service, and then they jacked up the price and gouged me. It's on me for not catching it sooner. But it's on them for trying to screw me in the first place. I will never work with them again. Make sure to monitor your electric usage and bills. Make inquiries immediately if something looks strange. And don't make the mistake of trusting NRG as your supplier.
They kind of just startled and bullied me into signing up at Walmart. There's no option to cancel online, you have to email customer service, who just says "someone will be in touch!" And that never happened. If your company was good, you wouldn't have to bother people to get business.
The associate who assisted me was very knowledgeable, helpful, and I was able to complete my transaction in a timely manner. NRG rates are very competitive- I have remained a faithful customer for the past four years. You just have to be diligent about contacting them when your contract timeline approaches, but this process is convenient ad easy to do because of their assistance on the telephone!
