I have tried other suppliers and noticed they are higher and often charge hidden fees so I have been with NRG for 5 years now and still going strong I use the app to control my prices and it is great
I would not recommend NRG to anyone. I canceled their service years ago only to find out that they never cancelled it. I called and verified with them that I canceled it in 2016 and they said they had no idea why it was not canceled and then blamed me. They said they sent me letters in 2018, 2019, and 2023 and I told them I probably threw them out with all the other junk mail. I asked them if they ever called me or asked me to sign anything in ten years that said I wanted their service and they said no. There should be a law that these companies are required to get an annual signature to provide utilities services to any address.
They were at a pride event i was at and they made my partner and I feel so uncomfortable. They just kept trying even after I asked them to stop they continued. Seems by the other reviews this is common and also they’re a bad service
Horrible. Tell you your rate will be lower but then tack on additional charges. Had to call/email three times before cancellation even went through (if it even does this time, still waiting to see). Customer service reps are rude and will laugh at you, and refuse to provide confirmation email or proof of cancellation.
I've been a customer for 2 years now and they save you money on your electric bill. Their customer service is awesome.
If i could give a negative star i would.. Just figured out that you people have been overcharging me for 2 years and i just caught it now. Shame on me but shame on you for treating clients like this. you stop us at our local supermarkets and tell us you are going to save us money. HA What a joke! you saved us money for one damn month. That is taking advantage of people.. Be aware of this company they are crooks.
Shared false information at walmart. My energy bill is doubled. I paid almost 1000 more in last few months together.
I have had NRG for a few years, and I know that I save on my electric bill, plus they send me a check once a year and a Sam's Club gift card
My husband and I are impressed with the low rates. Most all financial decisions are made by me. But I will tell you that when we go to Walmart and we see your people talking to a customer about NRG. I was approached in walmart by thise waking SCAMS !! I cant believe i fell for it thought I was signing up for a stupid gift card and without my authorisation they sign me up to a whole energy system that makes youre electric go up DONT FALL FOR THISE i was paying 75 of electric and my bill just raised by 100 dollars more , i can't weit untill morning so I can call and cancel then calling my electric company and explain the situation thise is unbelievable we are already going through enought with food , gas , rent going up !! Abd now thise crap trying to take whatever ever is left
