If it could be zero stars it would. Our bill is over double what it was with ComEd after the original sales pitch rate went up. There was no communication or follow up. When calling customer service to discuss they seemed like they were just upset that we caught on and were canceling. It was rather amusing when the representative offered me a rate that was just under double what ComEd is charging that I noted to them.

If I could give less than 1 star, I would. I was approached at a local Sam’s Club by two gentlemen with VERY predatory sales practices. They scanned my drivers license, which made me very uncomfortable. Duquesne Light, and frankly any other company, will be better. At least they don’t do things like this!! If I was signed up without consent I will certainly have further complaints. I did provide them with a non-working email in an attempt to try and get out of the conversation. The predatory sales tactic is so offensive!!!!
Several plans to choose from and seem to be competitive. This could have been a 5 star review however for the last 2 years their website/account is broken and does not permit you to update or change plans. You are always directed to call them. I have spoken to their Customer service team several times about this challenge and they state they are working on it.
Saves me me year after year.. Recently Clear choice street seller tried to switch to a .10 more than NRG. Not knowing who customer that I have been for years. Great Job NRG!

Liars, was offered 45000 miles at O'Hare for switching to NRG and will not be given the miles, they say the promotion never existed

For the pass 5 years, i have been satisfied with NRG service.
My electricity bill went up 20% after switching to them as Service providers. I am so sorry that I switched to NRG. I had this Service for a year and when the contract was up for renewal I called customer service to switch my electricity provider. The agent for NRG would only offer the same exact rate as American Electric Power. They told me basically to kick rocks if I didn't like their rates .. If their sales agents approach you in "Walmart " run away as fast as you can!!
