Ocean Prime

We came here for Valentines day weekend and it was delicious. The drinks were perfect. The butters were lovely. The only thing I had an issue with is we packed our things to go and they didn’t pack the truffle butter or the black garlic butter… They also ran out of lobster unfortunately which we were really looking forward to.

Disclosure that this is above my average level of sophistication so idk what I’m talking about. We reserved the $145 Dinner for Two which includes 1x appetizer, 2x first course, 1x Prime NY Strip & Broiled Lobster Tail, and 2x sides. We chose goat cheese ravioli, French onion soup, Caesar salad, whipped potatoes, and creamed spinach. We had the warm butter cake for dessert. Amazing: - the cocktails - the presentation was so fun and the drinks were delicious - the French onion soup was so yummy, probably my favorite food item and definitely the best I’ve had - the warm butter cake was also a huge winner Very good: - Caesar salad - not an exciting dish on its own but I was very happy with it, definitely the nicest, most well implemented one I’ve had - creamed spinach - yummy - NY strip - good sauce, great crust - very well prepared I’m sure, but my lack of experience shows here. Of the three “high end” steak houses I’ve been to, this was my least favorite, but leagues above an outback or something (as expected). Maybe this is due to the cut we had? Ok: - was not super impressed with the lobster. The texture was good but it wasn’t that warm by the time it got to us and was not big in the flavor department. Maybe I’ll always be chasing the highs of fresh lobster in maine… - goat cheese ravioli - was fine Bad: - the whipped potatoes were somehow so sad, no flavor to them and a little gritty Overall had a really great experience, the service was very good. The restaurant feels very sophisticated for lack of more educated opinion. For the price we paid (over $300 with drinks, dessert, water (lol), taxes and tip) I would’ve traded down the service & establishment for a higher quality entree, but I don’t think I’m the target market for this place, so take that how you will. tl;dr - very nice place, very good service, good food, great drinks

Ocean Prime has the right atmosphere for a nice night out. They also offer a room for private group events, which we had the pleasure of using. The calamari appetizer was very crispy and had a good amount of heat. The salad was well balanced. I enjoyed the 8oz Filet Mignon cooked medium with some side vegetables. Finally, the peanut butter chocolate cake was very rich and decadent. The food was delicious! However, we did have a small hiccup with food coming out on time for our group, as it took 45 minutes between appetizers and the main course. Overall, a great experience to be had!

My 60th Birthday Celebration at Ocean Prime was truly unforgettable! 🎉❤️ Twenty-three of my family and friends joined me, and it was everyone's first time dining there. The food was absolutely amazing, the service was exceptional, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations! Everyone said they'll definitely be back.✨️ A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff at Ocean Prime for helping make my milestone birthday so memorable. We had an outstanding dining experience at Ocean Prime in Philadelphia. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Chad, the maître d’, warmly greeted us and graciously seated us in a private dining room, which made the evening feel even more special. As soon as we were seated, Garnet welcomed us, introduced himself, and let us know who our server would be, setting the tone for the excellent hospitality we received throughout the night. Andre was an exceptional server. He was knowledgeable, attentive, and provided great recommendations that enhanced our dining experience. He struck the perfect balance between checking on us and giving us the space to relax and enjoy our meal. His professionalism and attention to detail were truly appreciated. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully prepared, and exceeded our expectations. Between the outstanding service and amazing cuisine, Ocean Prime delivered a first-class dining experience. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal in Philadelphia.

Service very slow Asked the waiter three times to bring me lemons took 1/2 hour for a cappuccino. Last year came and Service was amazing. The second time I felt I was at McDonald's the meat was overcooked and too much salt and pepper. What happened last week . on Sunday. Are you under new mgtm.? Phenomenal experience from start to finish. Ocean Prime well exceeded my expectations! Started at the bar where they give you bowls of popcorn with truffle to snack on while having some drinks. Have never seen that before, it was a nice touch. Atmosphere is fantastic. Honestly reminded me of Komodo in Miami. Upbeat music, attentive bartenders/employees, good crowd, cool lighting, and much more. Goat cheese gnocchi was amazing as a bar app. Went with the 10oz. filet + bernaise sauce. Insane. Best bernaise sauce I’ve had to date and steak was cooked to perfection. Girlfriend got the 16oz. ribeye with au poivre. Phenomenal as well. For sides did the truffle mac and jalapeño potatoes. Amazing sides. Got a warm butter cake with vanilla ice cream on top for dessert. It is a must try, super good. Everything I had topped Capital Grille or any other high end steak house that I’ve been to. Definitely a place you need to go. Will be back. 🔥🔥👍🏼

Went to this place for the first time April 11,2025 to celebrate my aunt and step dad birthday, the ambiance was great we all enjoyed the well flavored and tasteful food our waiter Marcus was so pleasant and nice I would recommend having him when I do visit again. He tried to ensure all our needs and wants was met. Very wonderful person.

This was my first time here. I was celebrating my 50th birthday. The atmosphere was beautiful. Creative drinks made the experience all the more interesting. Service exceptional. Food was fresh and delicious. It's a little pricey but definitely worth it. This is a place I will definitely save my money up for just to visit this place again. If you have never been it's a place you should definitely make a point to get to!!

My wife and I had dinner here for my birthday. The service was really good. My grouper was great and the tuna tartar appetizer was great. The lamb chops that my wife ordered were just okay. Very fatty and not a lot of flavor overall though we enjoyed ourselves and would return.
