I really liked how they treated me at this store, especially the stuff they had there. I felt really comfortable, and the blonde receptionist treated me really well
One star. Honestly one of the biggest wastes of time I’ve had in a while. I brought three tubs of clothes to Plato’s Closet Arlington. Shoes, pants, shorts, shirts, jerseys, hoodies. Over 60 items. All trendy, current stuff. I’ve sold to Plato’s before and made money, so this wasn’t garbage. Waited almost two hours just for them to tell me they’d buy nothing. Zero dollars. What really pissed me off was the back and forth: 15 minutes there 15 minutes home 15 minutes back 15 minutes back home Over an hour of driving plus two hours waiting for absolutely nothing. I asked why they wouldn’t take a single item and the lady said “wear and tear.” This is a USED clothing store. Some of the stuff I brought was literally never worn or worn once. If that’s “wear and tear,” then I guess nothing qualifies. Staff were rude too. Short answers, bad attitude, acted like I was bothering them just by asking why everything got rejected. If you value your time at all, do not bring your clothes here. You’ll waste hours of your day, burn gas, and leave with nothing but frustration. Worst Plato’s Closet experience I’ve had. Take your stuff somewhere else.
I never write negative reviews, but this experience absolutely warrants one. My 69-year-old grandmother went into this store today with over 20 pairs of shoes she was hoping to sell. She parked directly in front of the store. The staff refused to assist her in any way. No one offered help her in any capacity. They couldn’t even be bothered to open/ prop the door, or provide even the most basic courtesy. If this had happened to me, I wouldn’t care—but refusing to help an elderly, handicapped woman is unacceptable. Two customers ultimately stepped in to help her. I wish I had the chance to personally thank these men. To make matters worse, a manager was present and did absolutely nothing to improve the experience. Unfortunately, this isn’t an isolated issue. Over the past year or so, the staff here consistently displays poor attitudes. They make you feel as though asking for a fitting room or requesting a shoe from behind the register is the biggest inconvenience. The only two friendly and courteous employees no longer work here. I’ve been a loyal customer since high school, but after this experience, I won’t be returning. My grandmother ended up leaving and went to across the parking lot to Little Giggles, where she was immediately treated with kindness. They held the door open, offered her a basket, and helped her without hesitation—showing exactly what customer service should look like.
Don’t ever bother to waste your time to sell your clothes here. Listen to the reviews. You can bring a whole bag and they’ll take about 3 items. All the workers have poor customer service. Can’t even respond to a simple question when asked. Ridiculous.
Let's start with the customer service, it's terrible. I brought in a big bag of nice items really just to give them away and the lady said they dont take donations n i can sell them to the place, ok thats fine. So I left the bag, it's nice stuff, name brand, items wit the tag still on them. Only thing they bought was the oldest pair of sweatpants I wore a hundred times. Maybe they didn't want to pay up for the other items. I dont know what kind of operation their running. And the things they sale in there are regular store prices and not worth it. DONT WASTE your time at this place.
Do not bother selling your clothes here. Complete waste of time. I brought up 2 totes of clothes. Some with the tags still on them, and they said they couldn't take them due to wear and staining. But you can tell, they did not even go through the clothes, because a lot of them are still folded in the exact same order that I brought them up here in. Save yourself the trouble and take them somewhere else.
Group of 5 men soliciting for money to buy shoes inside the store made the shopping experience uncomfortable for everyone. They were extremely loud. Felt so bad for the girlies behind the counter, there was literally nothing they could do
😂😂😂. Zero stars for the pretending to open all the donation bags with a “1 hour wait”. There is little to no chance they went though mine and all the other donation bags before/after me for us to be told “nothing accepted” in less than HALF the time. Don’t waste your time and if you do, good luck 👍🏽
I’m gonna be so real I’m confused on how this location is still open they’re are multiple people saying the staff is bad and they are I went in there two times each time the women had attitudes like if you don’t wanna work there leave and on top of that they made it seem like they went through my bag but I was in the store and I could’ve sworn they only went through one there was brand new stuff in there I’ve never worn before when I asked the lady why she only took two items out of the two packed bags I had she said it’s because there were spots on the bottom of the jeans mind you I had a lot of jeans ? And most of them again I’ve never worn before they didn’t want the shoes I had but had ugly dirty shoes and when I say ugly I don’t mean to be disrespectful they were literally old looking vs me having a brand new pair to sell they were more worried about brand I guess ? Which is weird cause their vans were dirty and everything else each time I went I got barely any money I got nine dollars they took two items this store is sorry .
My cashier was low key excellent! It was a nice surprise to get a coupon from him because I said I’d be back to shop. Thank you
