PLATO LISTEN TO YOUR REVIEWS!!..I used to come here with my mom all the time when I was little, so maybe over 12 years ago. The clothes were always trendy and vibes were awesome. Until I visited today, the clothes were so ugly, 70% precent of it being cheap shein and out of style items that absolutely no one would have a taste for. Im reading all these reviews of people having their name brand clothes rejected but a pair of crappy jeans accepted which is crazy.
People talk badly about platos closet, but I think they could talk even worse about it. This location in particular is awful. The staff is rude as hell. Super short with you, unfriendly and off putting. I genuinely think they're all one bad interaction away from quitting or something. And that's not even considering that they don't take a single thing you bring. I brought to bags of well taken care of clothes, and I know that's what everyone says and they take only 1 or 2 items but this is maddening when they have garbage on the racks. I added pictures of what they actually accepted from others that made it to the racks. It's genuinely hilarious how bad this place is. Like we should all just do a swap meet in the parking lot at this point.
Shopping experience was GREAT! Found some good deals. Lots of brand clothes to choose from. Easter Sunday all the girls had on bunny ears🐰 so cute! Good customer service and Eunique was so AWESOME😊 I wasn't selling clothes but I definitely recommend shopping!
Search up the brand before you buy. Yesterday I purchased a much needed used pair of boots for $36.00. They are nearly worn out and wouldn’t have bought if I didn’t need cheap ones for work. I searched up the brand and found the exact same pair brand new in store for $37.00. Who is making the pricing decisions over there?!
Horrible customer service. Rude people work here. Instead of making an announcement that the dressing rooms were closing, they made an announcement that they already closed. I couldn’t try on my two items. They had one register open near closing time and the person in front of me had a HUGE pile. (It took over 15 minutes for them to check out.) Instead of opening another register or allowing me to browse while I wait, they told me I couldn’t look at any merchandise. So I set my two items down and left. The only person that was helpful and nice was Maranda. She was phenomenal and deserves a raise. What an angel.
Plato’s Closet really said “we only take trendy items” and then turned around and rejected brand new, tags-still-on pieces from Macy’s, Torrid, and Lululemon like they were clearance bin rejects from 2012. Be serious. This store clearly thinks “style” means wrinkled crop tops and worn-out fast fashion. The staff barely looked up, gave no explanation, and acted like they were curating Paris Fashion Week. Save yourself the trip—unless you’re trying to get rid of used Shein and heartbreak. Trash service, worse taste.
The staff is always nice and the merchandise is really good.
I have an excellent attention, 100 % customer experience, empathy, Monique the associate it was wonderful and so helpful, even with my registration bc I forget my glasses. A sweet lady, I love this place in Arlington, Texas, thank you Monique for the great experience.

Only giving this place a 3 stars because everyone else other than the manager is sweetest and understanding as can be. First #1 I came in yesterday to sale 2 items ! One pair of newly worn Nikes with a small stain on them I couldn’t get it off so i understand. Y’all this lady didn’t even look at them she was done within 5 mins mind you people have been waiting for hours. She’s going to say she can’t take them due to stains and she couldn’t take the heels. But wants to sale some stained damn shoes for $60-100 like girl be fr ?! Oh and let’s talk about next day Cynthia doesn’t want to make eye contact with me bc she knew she was wrong I went in again to buy some stuff and there was a hoodie with no tag on it like a windbreaker that was light weight. YALL it was one just like it but didn’t have a hoodie it was $25 she priced the other one at $50 just because it had a hoodie how dumb does that sound this girl said it was heavy now she wanna switch her words baby which one is it. One thing I don’t play about is dumb people tryna play me like I’m dumb I don’t recommend selling here everyone else there is so cool even the worker was like it should be $25 too so CYNTHIA you will be dealt with trust me lol. Oh let’s talk about turning people around 🤣
