I’ve sold at pretty much every location in Colorado… this one is the worst. They pass on great items and you look around in the store and they pretty much only have SHEIN… final straw was when I was offered $9 for a $90 dress and $120 jeans
Always a surprise!! Great selection of clothing
Staff was friendly and kind. Store was well organized and clean. Prompt buying time and easy to drop off items.
I went to Plato’s Closet for the first time, on Aug 23, 2025 to sell some clothing. I choose to go there because their website indicated they sell/buy teen clothing and the clothing I was selling was a size another second hand clothing store no longer accepts. When I got to Plato’s Closet, I was greeted right away from staff and asked if I needed any assistance. While working if the staff I learned the clothing size I was selling wasn’t quite big enough for the size they take. I was selling clothing size boys 14-16 youth, and they start at a men’s size small and up. While I was at the store, I observed the staff having a great time working together. I also noticed how excited they were to look through what customers were selling and made positive comment about the garments. They would say things like, “this is super cute”. Or “I want to buy this”. Even though I wasn’t able to sell anything at their store, their customers service was top notch.
The girls took awhile to price my clothing and it’s because they were outside making Tik Toks. It was the 5/3 crew around 2:12. Super professional 🫠
Don't bring items here to sell as it is a huge waste of time! Employees were obviously lazy and had no intent on actually looking at each item brought. I brought a bin a varying styles, brands (including designer), mens & womens items, ect. I dropped it off in the expected finish time was about 45 minutes later. I received a text after only 5 minutes and upon going back in the store was told that they wanted to pass on everything due to "It being older styles". Upon opening the bin, only the top four or five items (out of roughly 100+) had been removed and looked at, everything else was exactly folded and placed in the bin as I brought it in. Didn't even take the time to look at it and then just fed me a very general excuse of a reason to pass. Waste of time and obviously didn't want to complete their job duties of looking at all the items. A complete joke all around!
I came in and the store overall had a nice selection, but the prices felt high for secondhand clothing. I wasn’t greeted when I entered, and I noticed another customer come in who also wasn’t greeted. The staff came across as rude, and after reading other reviews, it seems this has happened more than once. I also noticed that when concerns about racism were brought up in a review, the owner’s response referenced having Black grandchildren, which felt dismissive and disrespectful rather than addressing the concern directly.
Went in & didn’t get greeted- Didn’t ask if I needed help.. shortly after me a white woman comes in and immediately greeted her and asked if she needed help. By the reviews and comments from this place it happens ALOT! I cannot believe they have not done anything about it.. will not go back!
Went in the store for the first time to buy more than a few pair of jeans and did not get any service or acknowledged that I was even there. There were about five guys at the counter that didn't even move, they just keep talking to each other. After about 10 minutes I left and went somewhere else to buy jeans. Worst service I have ever seen.
I played myself for even going here by not reading the reviews beforehand but let me add my experience . This is the worst Plato’s Closet I’ve ever been to, as someone that’s sold clothes to Plato’s Closet in various states this place doesn’t even feel like it’s a Plato’s Closet which should say a lot. Let’s start with upon arrival you don’t get the warm welcome just looks of disappointment “so you’re here to sell” … obviously why else you I walk in with bags of clothes. I was told a 30 min wait which turned into over an hour. The updates made no sense as soon as I got the update for “sorting” less than a min later it was all complete which is BS. After returning I was told only 2 items out of FOUR bags of clothes were being kept “due to older styles” but took the oldest pair of jeans WITH PAINT STAINS is so funny to me. Lazy staff at this place & seems like they need a new talk off everything wasn’t outdated nor over worn indeed brands that people shop for I’m not new to this.
