The heavyset, bad built, bleach, blonde lady with the short hair that look like it was breaking off, was very rude to me and my friend. She yelled at them asking what topping did they want instead of politely approaching them when I reminded her about my loaded, baked potato soup, she cut me off and proceeded to be rude so another employee had to intervene and they were much nicer. She ended up, throwing both of my friends sandwiches on the counter and she made them really oily to the point that the oil was seeping through the bag.
The lady taking our order great, the lady making the sandwiches was great, the gentleman ringing us out was loud, aggressive, rude, and to top it off there was no toilet paper which he stated Loudly and said there were no plans to get any toilet paper. For the amount of money it wasn't bad, but the food itself was eh at best sandwich wise. The powerhouse salad was excellent. I would not bother with this location due to the man alone being so rude. I wondered if he may be hard of hearing to try and find a reason for his behavior, but either way he was incredibly rude with his words.
We got two of the pick a pair (sandwich and soup) for $11.19 each. When the worker ranged us up, the bill was over $25. I asked why the bill wasn't $22.38 and she said they raised prices but haven't updated the sign yet. Hmmmm. Sandwich needed more meat and soup was ok. Won't be back.
3rd time going here. Usually every is good. But not this time. Had to wait almost 10 minutes just to pay. I get it was busy they had a lot of online orders. But it's lunch time how do you know be prepared for the busiest time of the day. I'm on my lunch break I only got so long. Hire more people or something it was a horrible experience.
Got chips and a drink, and the next cup they grabbed in their pile happened to be the one they had been using as their tip cup WITH A PENNY STILL STUCK INSIDE!!!! I unfortunately Did not notice until I had drank the entire thing. Completely unsanitary situation.
I was in on a Saturday afternoon and they only had two women working. The place was slammed but they stayed calm and were super friendly despite the lack of support in a stressful situation. I got the veggie melt and it was delicious. They didn’t skimp on any of the ingredients, which is pretty uncommon when fresh avocado is one of the toppings! Definitely worth the small wait for a tasty sub. Hopefully they can hire some more people so the current workers aren’t burnt out.
This is such a nice spot with great staff, they all had wonderful costumer service! From the taste of the sandwich to all the interior decors it’s really above and beyond!! 100% recommend if you’re craving a great sandwich for a great price as well.
The service was very prompt. The food was exactly what I expected. But next time I will be getting the skinny size of any sandwich that I decides to get because I got the original size of the chicken club and it was just too much for me to eat (I gave the other half to a street cleaner worker). The chicken pot soup was very delicious. The one thing that could be improve on is cleaning the tables and floor under the tables. Other than that, I will be going back in the very near future.
I love this place because it has a lot of history of Portland. You got to try it. The sandwiches are very unique. 🥰🥰🥰
Great service and atmosphere, fresh delicious food at a reasonable price. Not too busy either. Highly recommend for a good sandwich.
