Premier Powertrain

Definitely would not recommend doing business with them. Communication was scarce at best. Per their procedures, it took 12+/- hours to diagnose a problem that a different mechanic had diagnosed within 2 hours. I was told a replacement motor was on it's way, then 2 days later was told my claim was denied. So I was stuck paying for the labor bill they had racked up and still had to get my car fixed. Service Rep. was unprofessional and provided poor service.

David of Premier Powertrain was a dream to work with. His knowledge and professionalism made my purchase experience easy and stress free. Product was received in a timely manner and his staff is considerate and very concerned with your satisfaction. I would highly recommend using Premier Powertrain for your automotive needs.

They were very upfront and honest with me about national backorder, I ordered the motor. Unfortunately they were not able to meet the original deadline, but they were very prompt in notifying me, Mr. Hunt worked quickly to process me refund, once I decided to not wait longer, he was very professional and courteous. If I ever find myself needing another motor of trans I will definitely give them a call first.

David was our representative & he did a fabulous job. He made everything so easy & went so smoothly. We were so pleased with the whole process from ordering, delivery & pickup of the old one. If we every need anything else we will use Premier Powertrain. Thank You

Revision from previous post. After going over a few questions with David he really went above and beyond taking care of warranty questions. Upgrading to Gold warranty made me feel more confident about product. Engine now has 1500 miles and is running strong. I highly recommend the Gold warranty and working with David. Thank you Jim

Salesman were great and friendly, prices good too. Warranty process no good. Purchased gold NFW and was told that if I had a failure it makes it easy because I would just have a new engine sent for installation. Since im now on my third engine I know for sure that the first time they sent me a new engine, my mechanic installed it, then the old one was sent back. After the second one failed (I still had NFW because It was manufacturers defect) I had to send the old engine back first before the new one was sent. Warranty department tells me it’s a new deal with premier. It is going to take 2 weeks from the moment I alerted the warranty department at the manufacturer of the engine being ready for pickup for the new engine to arrive. If they sent the new engine right away the whole job would’ve been done in 3-4 days. Prices are great, but this issue with warranty needs to be solved and it needs to be solved quickly. You cannot be down for 3-4 weeks waiting on an engine to get installed when you’re only covered for 10 days for a car rental. I understand that manufacturing defects happen, but when you spend $325 on a high end warranty you do it because it’s supposed to make life a lot easier.

Best experience hands down! Idk about you but when I spend this amount of money I ask alot of questions and David the sales rep went above and beyond to answer them all. Fiona that deals with the core deposits was very helpful as well! It only took 12 days to get my refund, which wasn't bad at all. Will recommend these guys to everyone I know wanting or needing a new motor. Thanks guys have a blessed day!!

In my search for a Jeep Liberty engine, I came across Premier Powertrain. Took a chance and called a business I had never heard of. Within minutes David had given me all the confidence in the world that I was working with the right people. I live in WV and was ordering an engine out of Texas. I loved the fact that they used made in USA parts and great warranty offered with it. Within an hour I had quotes and all information sent to me. The next day I made the purchase. Engine was delivered on time and installed. Sent core back and received the core payment as expected. Great people to work with and will use them the next time I need a new engine. Unfortunately, I now have to change my review. Less than 6 months after purchasing the engine, it has failed. The engine locked up on my daughter at college. I had to pay a tow bill and borrow a trailer to haul it 2 hours to home all to find out the warranty would only cover a little less than half the bill. Very disappointed because I thought I had found a great place to purchase a remanufactured engine. The people there are great to work with, but it has cost me an extra $1300 out of pocket to get the jeep back on the road. Wished for a different outcome. Ok after deciding I was going to have to eat the entire $1300 bill to replace the new engine. David called me and informed me that he had talked to another manager and they had decided reimburse me with half of my mechanics hourly rate. Due to Premier creating a Gold level warranty that I would have purchased but it was not offered till about a month after my original purchase. So I have changed my review and raised them one more star only because it is still going to cost me money. I know that mechanical engines break and I just happen to be one of the unlucky ones. They also let me upgrade my silver warranty to the gold and will still honor it if the engine would happen to fail again. I think they are a good company who tries to treat their customers right, just bad luck with this one.
