my friend and i called and one of the workers hung up on us after we asked if our friend was a patient there.
Friendly and very helpful staff. Parking is hectic right in front but garage parking is spacious.
My husband was transferred here from O'Connor for a surgery (arrived here Friday afternoon and surgery is scheduled for Monday morning). He has been here for two nights already and we are annoyed. The rooms are not set up well for someone who is fully mobile, but our biggest complaint at this time is about Dietary. My husband is a vegan and is labeled with "vegan cardiac diet." Somehow, they got the order he was NPO a whole day early, so he didn't get a breakfast tray. Fine. Mistakes happen. When he finally got a tray, the only thing he could eat was the juice and fruit cup. I don't know how cheese omelet was considered vegan or cardiac, but that's what he got.
The most inept medical provider I’ve ever dealt with. They’re extremely hard to reach - the phone system is a nightmare. Their admin staff is incompetent and don’t even know procedures clearly spelled out on their site. The doctor I went to tried to push her services onto to me. Stay away.
I want to thank Santa Clara Valley Medical Center for helping my mother with her fistula. Although there were some nurses who acted immaturely, majority of them took their jobs seriously and are professionals. I believe management is trying their best to improve the patient experience. I can understand dealing with sick people day in and day out can be frustrating for the workers. So kindness goes a long way and Santa Clara Valley Medical Center was very kind to us. We received proper and professional care here.
It took a long while to be seen, but I’ve been in other states where the wait was longer. With the exception of one nurse everyone treated me nicely and tried their best to get everybody seen in a timely manner. There are not enough medical people and they are short staffed. We have to realize that 1 or 2 doctors cannot possibly see all the patients so fast. I will admit that the constant influx of law enforcement with their handcuffed, hurt charges made me nervous, but that is not on the hospital.
This is one of the worst healthcare service providers. Never go to the urgent care or the emergency care. I went to the ER and after 9 hours of excruciating pain they finally had the time to check. I also went to their express care , the staff is rude and slow and extremely incompetent. I requested to be given a pain medication while I wait but the RN was busy doing nothing and did not give me any medicine for relief while I wait. I waited for 3 hours in urgent care. Who waits for 4 hours in an urgent care ? The worst part is it’s actually a slow day. Barely any people waiting. DO NOT COME to ER or Express care here.and after you get inside it’s even slower. The nurses are inhuman and shouldn’t be in healthcare
Horrible hospital and rude staff. I brought my wife here and was told she needs a CT scan. My in-laws and I waited for more than 5 hours from 8pm to 1am, before they finally did the CT scan. What’s worse, this female staff at ER room who calls herself J Lopez, was extremely rude. She was yelling at everyone including my in-laws. When I asked for her name to file a complaint, she called security guards on me and refused to provide her real name other than “J Lopez”. Overall it’s a pretty bad hospital, will try to avoid coming here in the future as there are better hospitals in the area.
I got hit on a scooter. When I was here what a nightmare. After the checked all my scrufs and my injuries. They put me in a room for more than 6 hours. Then say yeah you can walk youre good. Not only that I paid $150 to kaiser now they want another $150. Silicon valley what a scam. I guess I'll wait because I won't pay 2 times. Health care is such a scam all they want is money not helping patients.
We greatly appreciate all the care, support and personal attention our sister received while she stayed at the hospital for over two weeks. In particular, we would like to call out Dr. Shaxena who made extra efforts to connect with us as a family and also with my sister on a very personal basis. She took an interest when we had to weigh the options for our sister to transfer to a post-acute facility after her release from the hospital. Although we initially thought that we might even be trained to do the IVs every 4 hours and take her home, the doctor really asked me whether that was doable. I am so glad she questioned that because my sister has needed physical therapy to rebound and only a post-acute or skilled nursing facility can accommodate that on a regular basis. The IVs are complex and it would have been next to impossible for us to do all that. Also, We would like to share our appreciation for the entire nursing staff, Infectious disease, doctors, and neurologists. We wish to thank Santa Clara Valley Medical Hospital. You saved her life.
