My husband was transferred here from O'Connor for a surgery (arrived here Friday afternoon and surgery is scheduled for Monday morning). He has been here for two nights already and we are annoyed. The rooms are not set up well for someone who is fully mobile, but our biggest complaint at this time is about Dietary. My husband is a vegan and is labeled with "vegan cardiac diet." Somehow, they got the order he was NPO a whole day early, so he didn't get a breakfast tray. Fine. Mistakes happen. When he finally got a tray, the only thing he could eat was the juice and fruit cup. I don't know how cheese omelet was considered vegan or cardiac, but that's what he got.
Lord, we lift our hearts to you, seeking your powerful protection against the forces of evil. We know that you are our refuge and shield, our strong tower against all that seeks to harm us. Help us to trust in your grace and faithfulness, knowing that you will guide our steps and protect us from harm. May your angels surround us and keep us safe from all danger. We ask for your wisdom to discern evil and to stand firm against its influence. Grant us the courage to live righteously and to follow your way, even when faced with challenges. In your name, we pray, Amen.
While this was the second worst reason i had to visit an ER it was very entertaining and funny outside of that. Also this is for those nurses, the smell was broccoli not taco bell. Lastly, Ebert is the irl version of the protagonist of The Good Doctor.
What the wheelchair dealers in the Occupational therapy wing did not tell their customer is that the static manual chair they sold me is as high maintenance as the family mini-van. In 40 years of life I have never had a manual wheelchair that needed regular maintenance and repair, until Valley Medical sold the Tilt-in-Space (to my public insurance plan ). Since when do you have to bring a wheelchair with no motor back into Valley Clinic to get an oil change? Every few months I have to go back for a procedure in which the therapist dismantles the chair that Medicare paid the manufacturer to assemble,, in order to apply a silicone based lube treatment to the parts. Such backtracking undermines the price-tag insurance paid for the original labor at the assembly plant. Within a year of acquisition I went back to Valley Medical clinic for comprehensive maintenance on the new chair. Within 3 weeks of that appointment, parts of the wheel chair that are fixed beyond reach of my spasticity are already loose and require a professional touch-up. I guess we all need -Coaches-
I gave birth to both of my children here. The actual birthing experience is fine to great, that’s why the 2 stars. The recovering unit is terrible. I was promised all throughout my pregnancy I would be getting a single private room, by the time I was ready to give birth that floor was still well under way in construction. I absolutely hated sharing a room the first time, had I known I would again I wouldn’t have chosen valley medical. The whole concept of sharing a room with a stranger after something so intimate as giving birth is beyond me. I had given birth alone as my husband was with my daughter and we don’t have family here that could take care of her. So after I had given birth I really just wanted to see them and to see my daughter but they where denied from visiting me due to a 1 visitor rule, but my room mate was visited by husband, mother, mother in law, friend and then husband again and all in rotation constantly. But my toddler daughter and husband couldn’t come visit me once. I’m all for a rule but only if it is common sense. My neighbor had a total of 8 visits by people, and I couldn’t have 2 people come at once, does that make sense as to protect from covid if that’s the fear. When I expressed this to the nurse she said “it’s time your daughter learn she is no longer the only priority for you” delightful comfort.
Friendly and very helpful staff. Parking is hectic right in front but garage parking is spacious.
I been a VMC member for over 20 years. I have an amazing job that provides several medical insurance, and VMC had and will remain my top choice. The doctors, nurses, and HPRs have always been professional, kind, compassionate, respectful, and caring. The oncology team have been so amazing to me. I don’t think I could survive treatment if it wasn’t for their support and encouragement.
Very bad experience, Front desk staff and nurses think and act likes “god fathers”. :(Prejudices, Discriminates, Hassles, Low-Classes).
Emergency room was crap totally disgusting should have known better to leave. Disabled Marine corps military veteran have nerve pain and the VA no longer gives payments went to the emergency room to get pain meds prescribed took forever place was nasty surprised I didn't catch something while I was there It was that bad. Didn't even get prescribed what I needed by Dr. Sekhon she look like she was 25 didn't even know what she was doing I'm sure she's never felt much pain in her life and doesn't understand her patience. Two and a half bulging disc vertebraes in my neck and prescribes me muscle relaxers when I told her I need actual pain meds like Vicodin or hydrocodone. She told me I don't feel comfortable giving you those type of pain meds as patient in curtain next to me gets Vicodin for a toothache. You guys really need to learn to listen to your patience. Now I will have to go back to another emergency room not that place It should be burned to the ground. So I have to go to another emergency room to get pain meds as I have throbbing pain from my neck all the way down my right arm for the last 5 days.
my friend and i called and one of the workers hung up on us after we asked if our friend was a patient there.
