Home to 6 different centers and many specialty clinics all in located here. The institution consists of Burn Center, Children’s Health, Woman’s Health, Rehabilitation Center, Trauma Center and Sobrato Cancer Center. They recently completed the renovation of the front garden, Sobrato Pavilion center to house inpatients and the atrium garden right inside of the hospital building. The volume of patients that they do see here is quite high, unlike many other hospitals. Therefore, the wait to see the specialists can be very discouraging. However, you’ll see some of the very experienced specialists and top notch surgeons here.

Ana Ramirez (HSA) gave me exceptional care. She started her Hero Work with me starting at 3am. I struggle with walking at times and she was always available to help me with my personal needs. She is a wonderful asset to your staff. Regards, Teresa Duffy, RM 69A 3rd Floor

I had a very bad experience during my first visit to a hospital .When I arrived, I explained my issue at the front desk, and they directed me to emergency care. An older lady took my information but entered my insurance details incorrectly. I ended up waiting for almost 4 hours, until 2 AM, even though my case was not an emergency. Later, I received a bill from the doctor for $300, and now I’ve received another bill from the hospital for $500. When I contacted them to explain the situation, they said I had to pay because I received emergency care. However, it wasn’t an emergency, and despite providing all my information and getting an appointment number, I was kept waiting for hours. This was a very frustrating and disappointing experience. Very very bad hospital ever i saw in my life.

Really not that bad of a place. Not sure why so many 1 star reviews. I think more people complain than compliment is all… it’s a hospital. Not a fun place, but good hospital with pharmacy on sight that accepts Medi-Cal…

The phone system is extremely disorganized. The automated voice system constantly misrecognizes what I say and transfers me to the wrong place. There are not enough doctors in the Urgent Care. Every time I go, it takes around four hours from check-in to actually seeing a doctor.

Even it is public facility but really nice people and the doctors are good 😊 you can trust and high Quality service. Nurses are sometimes rude but the most important are doctors. The facility is kind of old but efficient/ you can find a pharmacy inside and the line is fast. Pharmacists are sometimes hard to deal with - the language is hard to understand but it is a good diversity - I highly recommend this clinic and GO PUBLIC SANTA CLARA VALLEY MEDICAL 🏥

Very rude assistant on the second floor in trauma icu heavy set woman I never want to complain but she was really rude the whole time I been visiting well my fiance is in there fighting for his life you would think she will have a little respect with us instead of hanging the phone up or pretending we never rang the bell when we want to visit him. I will get her name and I'm going to report her so this doesn't happen to no one else.

This is regarding my experience with my primary care provider. There are, unfortunately, several issues. First of all when using their online messaging system it states that it may take, "up to 3 days" to receive a response to your message. The problem with this PCP is I would wait until day 4 or 5 and send a gentle reminder message. And instead of an apology I was just told how busy she was. The second issue is actually being treated by the PCP at all. There have been cases where I have requested a prescription, or an appointment, and instead of getting a response in 3 to 5 days from my PCP, I received phone calls from an advice nurse. Just FYI, an advice nurse can't prescribe medications, or make appointments, so I'm not quite sure why my requests were forwarded to an advice nurse. But it gives the appearance of a doctor not wanting to do the job, and an advice nurse getting paid for doing something she won't be able to help with, which is wasting resources. (To be clear here, I am in no way blaming the advice nurse for anything). The disconnect is striking given the glowing review I have for their trauma care, and after trauma hospital staff.

I recently visited this hospital to give birth to my first child. I felt compelled to allow other potential mothers to know what you are getting into with this hospital. I went in for a normal birth of which I told the drs I did not want Pitocin and was told I couldn’t be admitted without being open to Pitocin unless I was 4cm dilated. I was in terrible pain and sent home to labor as if I wasn’t almost half way to birth. They won’t allow anyone into triage so I was laboring alone for quite some time. Some of the staff were more kind, Andrea the triage nurse was so sweet as well as Lindsey such an angel with me after delivery the only saving grace this hospital has is the few kind people like them. The dr who I was supposed to give birth with was no where to be found, they had numerous random people in and out of the room while I was in labor. I asked to use a bar to help me push and a rude Dr came in as I was about to deliver and said it was in her way and needed to be removed. As soon as my baby was placed on me I was sewed up with no lidocaine and I could feel every stitch and they didn’t let me know what they were even doing I screamed my fist moments with my baby. I asked for warm compress while giving birth did not get that. They asked me if I could feel them sewing me up as they did it, of course I could feel it. I felt like they could have been more communicative and empathetic but very much were the opposite. We were told after two nights, I was in labor for over 24 hours, that I was discharged which was no issue. They told us we had to leave by shift change at 8pm or we’d be charged for another night. At around 7 we calmed down baby and were taking intimate baby pictures and the nurses came in at 7:15 saying it’s time to get things going. They stood by us chatting and Igor a very rude pompous nurse commented on how we were handling the baby, pressuring us to hurry out in these final moments we just wanted to capture for our memories. Igor was extremely rude and said can we just get this done so I don’t have to come back here. Absolutely disgusting attitude toward someone who just gave birth so heartless and nasty. I will say I will never return to this hospital if I can help it, and I hope other mothers consider before delivering here.

Go anywhere else! This Hospital is run down, with stained floors and water leak stains on the ceiling. The staff is sub par. The Nurses staff blamed each other every time a request was missed. Went in for acute Bronchitis. Was never given oxygen through a cannula. My dog’s Veterinarian could have given me better care. Will avoid at all costs in the future.
