Smokeball has been an excellent resource for our firm. Their software and ease of use is top notch and customer service quick to address your issues. I reviewed numerous case management software options and can say for certain Smokeball was the best available for our needs. Highly recommend.
Smokeball is in all in one platform for your company. It is a great resource and has much to offer. It automatically tracks what you do throughout the day which is great to never miss your billables. Although you will experience technical issues from time to time, and the program lacks some key features every case management software should have, they are constantly releasing updates and incorporating new features from the feedback forum they provide to their clients. The support team (including account managers and onboarding) are ALWAYS friendly and helpful. Overall great.
I have been a Smokeball customer since November 2015. I have not opened a paper file since I am able to go to court knowing that I have my entire file with me. The automation has made being a solo practitioner easier than I could have imagined. I can set up my own file structure and add folders whenever I need. While it hasn't made practicing law a "joy" it has come pretty close. I would highly recommend giving Smokeball a try!

Terrible. I cancelled my one year trial after one year. It was worthless. Now they have, after TWO YEARS, billed me my final month after an alleged THREE YEAR contract?? (after not billing me in the meantime). Even though they haven't billed me until this month, I tried to call, left messages and emails for 2 weeks. NEVER got a response. They are certainly not on interested in client and customer service. USE CLIO.
Archie on Smokeball is very convenient and user friendly. Every time I feel stuck I let Archie help me et started with drafts.
I have worked at a number of different law firms and in house corporate jobs. Each place uses their own software. I have also used Smokeball. Their software works well on the whole, though it does have some issues in the way it does things (as do all of the other legal-software packages I have used!). Smokeball works to help improve the software, but they only address certain issues if enough users are vocal about it for them to address the issue.
