I work in a law firm and we switched from another software and began using Smokeball. There is always a learning period but we all have been pleasantly surprised how user friendly Smokeball is. We love the training sessions and how responsive and helpful the Smokeball team is. Anyone looking for new software, should really give Smokeball a try, you won't be disappointed.
Since becoming more familiar with using Archie, it has become an invaluable tool. I have used it to summarize documents, search documents for specific information and to assist in drafting succinct letters and factual summarizations for a variety of documents.
I have been using Archie for the past 60 days, wow! I tried it some time ago and did not find it helpful, but it is now a very strong component of the program and helps secure information faster. I am really impressed.
Love love love Archie and all the fun things you can truly access on Smokeball amazes me every day. Our firm could not function without this system in place. Thank you, Smokeball!!
Smokeball is the program that does it all. It houses contacts, billing, templates, matters - both open and prospective - and the support is phenomenal!
I was not a big fan of AI, call me old school. However, I tried Archie and it really is good. I use it to summarize information and for other things, which I cannot do outside of SB because of confidentiality reasons. You still need to check to make sure it is correct, but so far, I have not found any mistakes. Brave new world!
Great software for anyone working in a Law Firm. Very easy access to client files, easy client management. Technical support is always great when you speak with them.
Smokeball's AI integration ("Archie") is great, primarily, because it knows what it is and doesn't try to be what it isn't. Its great for finding details in voluminous files, summarizing details for use in mediation, etc.
My firm has been using Smokeball for three years and we love it. We are a boutique family law firm with around 20 employees. Smokeball has helped everyone--lawyers, paralegals, and admins--become more efficient in virtually every aspect of our practice. The AI component (Archie) is excellent. It greatly reduces processing time on various projects and is excellent at reviewing, summarizing, and analyzing documents. You can't go wrong with Smokeball. I highly recommend it.
Smokeball is a fully functional all in one application for attorneys. The primary benefits are that many things are automated and intuitive, so it makes things a lot easier when switching systems like my firm did. However, for more advanced technical users there are certain limitations that are unfortunate which are primary the inability to import data from an excel document and the ability to fully code in the automation section. It uses a proprietary pseudo-code for automation features which is great for novice users but would be nice if it could be opened up to recognize traditional coding languages in some form to make the automation a bit easier to program. An example is making a custom check list. This option is available within Smokeball for the intake forms and is very easy to use and works great. However, when building a custom form, the only advice I could find is to make it use the if/then/else statements one after another to effectively develop a checklist. However, I am hopeful these features will be changed as the company is receptive to improvements and rolls them out frequently. Would still recommend!
