This is the first time i’ve ever left a review on google in my 30 years of living, i’ve been here 3 times, all 3 times i’ve been the ONLY one in the drive through, and had to wait 25 minutes (not an exaggeration) EACH time, and guess what… my order was wrong!!! genuinely don’t know how that is possible
Friday 3/6/2026 about 11:10am 535 Southwest Blvd Kansas City Ks Nothing to rate, looked online Thursday and saw they had a good looking fish sandwhich. Thought that I would give it a try. So Friday lunch time came and I left work to go get the fish sandwhich. Going through the drive through and there was a picture of that same fish sandwich. Lady came on the speaker and ask me what I would like to order. I said I will take the fish sandwhich combo with another fish sandwhich. She said we do not have fish. I said you don’t have fish or you’re out of fish ? She said we do not serve fish. I told her I seen it on the web site and there was the picture on their drive through menu ? She said we do not serve fish. I said okay thanks and left.
I should've checked the reviews for this location before ordering here. This was my first time ordering from this location and I never will, again. I ordered a Chili Cheese Coney combo with a Strawberry Cheesecake Master Shake. The shake was the best thing about the meal. The Tots were barely done. The Chili Cheese Coney was a huge disappointment. The tip of the first hot dog looked normal but the rest was brown. The second hot dog was even more brown than the first one. They looked like they'd been sitting in the open air for hours.
This review has little to do with the food and everything to do with what I assume to be a management issue. I ordered the same thing I do every time I go to sonic (which is quite often). I ordered the chili cheese coney meal with mozzarella sticks and marinara sauce. I received the mozzarella sticks without marinara. This isn't a huge deal as it happens from time to time. When I pushed the button to ask for some, a very nice gentleman came to talk to me. He informed me that he is required to change for every sauce packet given out and it does not come with the mozzarella sticks automatically. If this is truly a policy, it is a very flawed one. If the employee was misinformed, it is a training issue that should be addressed.
Spooky as all get out after dark. We were the only ones there. Ordered in a stall, waited 25 minutes for 3 drinks, finally broke down and called the location. They told us to go through the drive through to pick it up. Waited in the drive through for another 5 minutes while the employees inside chatted. I watched them grab our drinks, which had seemingly been completed for a long while, off the counter and bring them to us. I guess it must be really hard to screw up a slush because they tasted fine.
Ice cream machine was broke, person on the other end had a terrible attitude and was impatient as if I just didn't waste money and time ordering and driving to pickup. There needs to be a better way to get refunded, and people shouldn't be allowed to order ice cream on the app when the machine is broken. Worst sonic ever. The condition of the building and the employees are terrible. I'm sure it would be more profitable to close the location down.
I orders 2 items for my breakfast. Both items were gross and crusty. Couldn't even bite off the bread and the burrito shell was crunchy. Couldn't eat any of it. I'm so done with sonic. This is not the first time it's happened.
This location is a solid stop for your breakfast needs. The food is always made at time of order, delivering a hot fresh meal. Big fan of their ultimate breakfast burrito and for fast food options their cold brew coffee is one of the better offerings.
I am never one to leave bad reviews, but this has got to be one of the worst sonics i’ve ever been too. Takes 30+ minutes everytime i've ordered. I order off of my phone which you would think would be quicker but it’s not, then finally i hit the button and they had me go to the drive thru this time, when she opened the window it smelt like cigarettes from inside the building, then she didn’t even know what drink I had. They're always just standing there doing nothing. There was one other car there with me at 9:50pm, there was no reason at all for it. Workers always look out of it as well. Needs new staff. or management. or both.
Ive been here 3 or four times and every time its a incredibly long wait. I once waited a half and hour for two drinks and there wasnt any other customers here. Also half the time their tech is not working. Ive only experienced this at this location
