University of Phoenix

I am a recent proud (Graduate) of University of Phoenix. My 4 years attending this university was the most exciting, fun and challenging experience I’ve ever experienced. Through it all. I have truly learned the true meaning and value of what, how, and why I chosen this field from the start. (University of Phoenix) will always have a significant space in my heart. They guided me in such a way that has helped me persevere and apply grit in everything that I do. I am honored to be apart of such an amazing college.

I've been with UOP for almost two years and won't be returning to further my education. There isn't really any classroom training or interaction with the teacher except for discussion posts. We get to read material/watch videos, but it's not the teacher talking with us about it. It feels very impersonable. And then there is the issue with funds. There is a constant issue with excess funds and now that they have switched from giving us our full amount to giving us our excess every course, it's further screwed everything up. I received an email the other day stating I owed for my current class. I panicked. I chatted with an agent who told me "once they received the funds".... except, they HAVE received the funds according to my loan company who sent them funds for the semester in September. So why would they say they haven't received the funds yet? No, updating the system messed everything up and now they have all of their students wondering what happened. I also had an instructor give me a 20/40 for an assignment and when I asked why, she said the system automatically grades it. And then when I mentioned my other classes, she says she follows UOP guidelines. So does she grade following the guidelines or is it graded automatically by a system? And why was there no feedback? The only good thing is the accommodations and also being able to work at my own pace.

I got my undergraduate and now working on my Masters at U of P. Nothing was ever hidden. You have to do your homework and know what the heck you are doing and keep yourself informed and ask the right questions. You cannot expect people to do your work for you. The tuition and costs are laid out on their website plain as day. I did a ton of research on the degree I am working towards, the costs and responsible borrowing. I made sure I knew what the accreditation's were and that I can be licensed in my state. Its work but my responsibility to know what I am signing up for. I loved the enrollment counselors, and can ACTUALLY get through to them and get personal responses same day most of the time unlike the bigger schools where you are lost in the crowd. I love this school and how its geared toward adults.

I would give them negative stars if there were any. Very bad experience with this University! Their service is like fishing people/students. They just try to take your money, charge you as much as they can. They don’t use human sense to resolve a problem. Instead, they blamed on their virtual system/robot machine, and there is nothing they could do about it. From the beginning, I was pushed to save my card in their system, but later before I took a course with them, I requested them to remove my card, and they said they would take care of it. And I guessed they never did it. So I am charged for an unreasonable amount and without my authorization. Please be careful with this university everyone! I believe there are lots of better University out there. Things are just smooth when this University can charge our money easily. But when a problem comes up, the responsibility is on us. They just want to take our money. That’s it!

0/10 - admission office has no idea what they're talking about. I havent started classes here yet & honestly reconsidering this school entirely. If this is the WELCOMING committee, they need to fire EVERYONE and start over.

I earned a bachelors degree at UOP. This school helped me A LOT in knowledge, research skills, writing, and advancement in my professional career! If you want to become a good writer or you are a good writer and want to be an excellent writer, this is the school for you! The classes are heavy on writing and power point assignments, but I think it brings legitimacy to the program. My academic advisor was amazing and helped me out a TON! Pro tip: Keep your eye on the prize. Get in the routine by juggling your family and employment; understand that it’s just a temporary lifestyle change. The only way to eat an apple, is one bite at a time. Once you get the rhythm, start doubling up on your classes. You must be dedicated to get to the finish line, if you want the prize! 😀 The only negative is that I did not like the team assignments, because some students don’t carry their weight or they wait until the last second.

I made the mistake of starting my associates at my local community college. Had I started with University of Phoenix to begin with I would have saved myself a lot of stress and money overall. You cannot find more streamlined, well laid out and organized programs anywhere. The design is simple and easy to navigate, each course has the same layout. You cannot find better service and support from the staff. You have an assigned counselor, with a direct ext and email to reach at anytime for the rare issues. Very rare. The programs are designed for student success. I felt supported the entire time. The breaks the school offers for any reason what so ever are game changing for parents. The program is setup completely for you, you can see where you are and exactly what courses are next to complete your program and the order, to follow your progress. You do nothing but your work. Instantly enrolled in your next course, as long as you passed. One class per 5 weeks. I can not recommend them enough for degree programs, with the least possible stress.

The University of Phoenix has been amazing from the day I called to get enrolled to now two and half years later into my degree I have been supported by everyone at that school. The staff, teachers, other students and so on! The teacher's here care and are amazing! The online classroom is awesome and easy for anyone to use! The tech support is amazing as well if you ever run into a issue they are right on it. The financial division is very helpful and very friendly! They even have a option to chat with a financial advisor if you rather do that then call ! I can not find anything at this time to say negative about the school. It has been an amazing ride!

This is the best online school I have attended so far. I like learning about physics also. I think it makes sense for an online college to teach multiple mathematics fields.

It's allowed me to be a wife, a mother & a student with great instructors and great leadership! CACREP accredited for counseling is knowing I am in a school where people recognize their quality of education.
