Reviews 100
I transferred from Dallas Baptist, a very expensive private school. The quality of instruction was excellent. I wish I had a transferred out earlier. I was able to work with educators from all over the US to compare common core standards versus just working with local educators in Texas. I highly recommend transferring to Phoenix for a fraction of the cost. The graduation at Chase Field in Phoenix was great with the exception of 100 degrees outside of the air conditioned field.
Where do I begin? I decided to leave a review because I can not reach a reasonable solution dealing with classes that I've already taken nor financial aid. Let me say this, I regret attending this school. They have sucked my financial aid dry. Then I am scheduled to take 4 classes that I've already taken and passed at another accredited school with the classes being of a higher credit weight. I've tried to appeal, Student Services lied until they couldn't anymore and when I was able to finally talked to someone, my appeal was denied with minutes after sending the my resume. After looking into the reasons of denial I found several ethic violations from this department with the decision based on UOP appeal policy. I also, sent an appeal to Office of Dispute Management (ODM) Resolution Services 5 days ago and no answer, so I just sent the email again. At, this point I'm out of financial aid even if I make a payment It will show up that I still owe and I've applied to almost every scholarship that they sent me and was denied for every last one except one and that was taken away and never offered again. They have me taken and paying for 4 classes that I've already taken and have proven work experience for. At this point I just want to finish ASAP. I just want out of the bad decision. I'm thinking I would've been better off going back to Devry or just getting a second Ass Degree in nursing some where else. Now I went from finishing in August 2026 to March of 2027 with no funding aid. SO DISAPPOINTED.
I'm incredibly proud to have been part of the University of Phoenix community! My time here has been transformative both academically and professionally. The university's commitment to student excellence is evident in every aspect of the program. I was honored to be recognized by the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS), which speaks to the high academic standards and quality education provided. The faculty genuinely invest in student success and push you to achieve beyond what you thought possible. What sets University of Phoenix apart is their understanding of adult learners and working professionals. The flexible online format allowed me to balance my education with other commitments while still receiving a rigorous, high-quality education. The coursework is challenging and relevant to real-world applications. The support system here is outstanding - from academic advisors to career services, everyone is dedicated to helping students reach their goals. Being recognized for academic achievement through honors programs like NSCS shows that the university truly values and celebrates student success. I highly recommend University of Phoenix to anyone looking to advance their education and career. The skills, knowledge, and recognition I've gained here have been invaluable to my professional growth.
I am currently a student studying online for my bachelor's degree in psychology. I've successfully completed 4 courses since January and I just began my 5th. This is the best school to go to online if you have a busy life. It's simple and I've actually learned a lot in just the 6 months I've been attending. I look forward to updating this review when I graduate.
I am a current student in the Master's program and I've had an amazing experience from the start to current course enrollment. The key to success for myself is staying on top of your financial status, asking questions when you don't understand and being accountable for your role as a student. My advisor is very helpful in navigating the journey and my admissions rep was on top of her responsibilities as well. I look forward to the completion of my program in November and encourage anyone who is ready to achieve their college goals to consider Phoenix.
I had an extremely disappointing experience with the University of Phoenix. I was told by an enrollment rep that I qualified for the Competency-Based Master’s in Health Administration. I enrolled, began classes, and even received official welcome calls. After a month of attending class with no financial aid disbursed and repeated calls for help, I was told I was never approved for the program due to an “oversight.” Instead of being supported, I was given the option to switch to a more expensive traditional program—costing $10,000+ more and extending my education by a year. I filed a grievance with the university, but have yet to receive a response. I feel like I was misled so the rep could meet a quota. This has cost me time, delayed my goals, and damaged my confidence. I would not recommend this university to anyone. If you’re considering UOPX, I suggest looking elsewhere—especially if you're a working adult counting on honesty and transparency.
Can’t say enough about the great support and excellent education I received from the UOP Online program. This was my first online learning experience and I definitely prefer this flexibility versus a physical classroom. Especially while juggling a full time work schedule with a full time class load. I took advantage of their professional writing tools to polish up my research writing and made huge improvements compared to where I started. I noticed many of my coworkers took the easy way by using shortcuts that do the writing for them. I chose the old fashioned way by putting in the time and effort to write my own material (you get out of it exactly what you put into it). My degree has allowed me to grow professionally, personally, and financially. Thank you for everything, University of Phoenix!!
Was thinking of attending for my graduate degree, but will not anymore. Keep getting harassed with calls and emails from this institution, yet when I reach out to them they never respond. Feels like they just want you for money. Reading other reviews, it appears that this is simply the norm for them. Also the comments about dropping students I keep seeing here are concerning to say the least.....
I’m graduating in less than a month. Nearly with honors. Worked my butt off. I was So excited to start my masters soon. Then I see the way my husband gets treated after he’s trying to get access to funds that have already been dispersed… but getting absolutely no help, being lied to numerous times. To be back at square one today. I had planned to do my masters here… I doubt that’s going to happen anymore. This is absolutely absurd. I’ll happily go somewhere else due to this, even if it means less convenience for me.
Avoid Phoenix University at All Costs I’m writing this review because Phoenix University allowed someone to fraudulently enroll using my stolen identity. Despite the severity of this issue, I’ve been the one jumping through endless hoops. Having to file police reports, submitting documentation, and contacting multiple departments to try and fix something that should have never happened in the first place. The fact that this enrollment was approved without proper identity verification is beyond negligent. The emotional and mental toll this has taken on me over the past few months is something no one should have to endure. I’m still dealing with CRI trying to get this cleared. NO ONE SHOULD EVER HAVE TO PAY BACK A LOAN THEY NEVER BORROWED!!!!! And not to mention what this has done for my credit. And the root of it all traces back to Phoenix University’s failure to do their due diligence. This has been an incredibly stressful and exhausting experience. I urge anyone considering this institution to think twice. Protect yourself and look elsewhere. I have never enrolled or attended Phoenix University I can only imagine how you treat your actual students.
